What Other Fabric Stores Are Around?
Hi all!
I am trying to get back into sewing and I want to make some new throw pillows for my den. I found some fabric at Jo-Ann in Arlington but did not like the selection of trims. I looked at Hobby Lobby which didn't have much of a selection. Are there any other stores around that might carry sewing materials? I live in the south Arlington/Grand Prairie area. I know there was a Hancock Fabrics in Arlington but I believe it closed as I could not find it in the directory. Thanks.

There is a fabric/rug store in the shops outside North East Mall in Hurst. It sets in the parking lot behind/beside Best Buy. They have a wonderful seection of fabric and trims galore. Also, Calico Corner. Hope this helps!

If you can drive into Dallas, there are two on Inwood Road, just south of 635: Calico Corners and Fabric Factory. Fabric Factory has a huge selection of fabrics, and Calico Corners has a very good selection, as well. There are some places on Midway Road, north of Beltline, but I don't remember their names. If you Google Fabrics Arlington (or whatever town you choose), you might find some places.

My absolute favorite is Cutting Corners on Hulen St. in Fort Worth. They are only open til 5pm. They have great fabrics and tons of great trim and rods.

The store on Midway (north of 635) is called Cutting Corners. I think it is a little cheaper than Calico Corners.
