What Is Your Beauty Must Haves?

I scared myself looking in the mirror this morning...my skin is getting so wrinkled and blotchy (especially under the eyes), and under the skin acne. I have a very tight budget, and very sensitive skin. I started using L’Oreal, Garnier products (which do not work) Vitamin E Swiss collagen cream-works well on hands, not on face. Olay products break out my skin. I do not use alot of makeup-just foundation, eye liner, and mascara. I eat a healthy diet-not balanced, exercise and drink nothing but water.

Can’t blame the kids, they are grown and moved out, but I think it is the stress of working two jobs and working outside all the time starting to catch up to me...and sleep-what's that?

What do you do to look your best?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks Ladies!!!!

I would recommend going to an esthetician. You can get a good price by going to the beauty college. My good friend is in school for this right now and gave me a great price on a facial a few weeks ago. I have actually never had a facial done before but I was amazed at how great my skin looked immediately afterward, and it actually has been much better overall the last 2 weeks. She did a clay masque and it helped a lot with the under-skin acne. My skin is softer and clearer now, and I intend to go back as often as I can afford.

I love the MaryKay Time Wise collection too... I do not have wrinkles, but have uneven skin and still dealing with acne (hence why my skin looks young still and no wrinkles). The Time Wise collection really seems to make my skin more even toned and healthier. I ran out of it two months ago and have not reordered yet, I can tell that I am not using it.

I also like at home face peels/masks, buy the bottle at the store (whatever I fancy that time around) and it last for a 2-3 months if I use it once a week.. I like the cucumber ones, and deep cleaning ones that I can peel off.

Enfuselle by Shaklee. There are 8 patents on the line and you can see the difference--wrinkles disappearing and blotches going away in days, not months.

Neutrogena make a facewash & moisturizer that are actually called Anti-Wrinkle, Anti-Blemish which I thought was a miracle when I found them. It also made me feel way better that I'm not alone!! I can't get them at the local drug store anymore, but they do carry them on drugstore.com & occassionally I'll get emails for free shipping so I stock up then.

I switched to mineral powder foundation a couple of years ago. You do not need to buy the crazy expensive stuff, though that's how I started out. Now I switch back & forth between expensive & regular drug store (Maybelline, Revlon, etc.) brands & sometimes even mix them. They don't lay in any creases & I'm not all oily at the end of the day. It's light enough not to feel like I have a ton of make-up on, but does the job to even out the skin tone without breaking me out. Yes, I still do have breakouts during my PMS time every month, but not as bad as they used to be.

I have started MaryKay Time Wise also. But before I switched to a more adult skin care from Proactive, I tried to start with the most balanced skin. I did an aspirin facial scrub ( reduces swelling, redness and tightens); take 6-8 aspirin and crush the up and add about 4 drops of lemon juice or until you get a paste apply to face in a circular motion, once it is dry on your face and starts to crumble off, rinse off with warm water and follow up with (i know it is stinky) Apple Cider vinegar as a cleanser, which restores the PH balance in your skin. At any time I get a pimple I dab with the vinegar to dry it out fast. Google this it worked awesome for me. And very inexpensive.

I use the St Ives scrub once or twice a week.

I LOVE Clinique products. I've used them since I was about 11 and my 16 yr old daughter uses the line as well.

Right now, I use the Repairwear series laser focus serum, eye cream, night and day creme. Each of the products are about $48 per container HOWEVER, they will last you a good 6 months or more. Clinique stands behind their line as well.

Clinique sunscreen and lots of water.

Good luck!

I get rest when I can and shock my face. I steam it then throw an icy cold wash cloth on my face.

I use mineral foundation (they do have more affordable versions) and shea butter moisturizer on my face. I also use wet and wild mascara, softlips lip balm or natural lip balm, and I have a double sided stick of eyeliner on side and eyeshadow on the other.

I'm a mom of a two year old and I only make minimum wage.

I love my Mary Kay products!!! the new replenish C serum is fantastic!!!!!
Bare Escentials products are great......Many of them are natural and preservative free.
