Hello, my mother in law has been doing my daycare since my son was born and we pay her but now there is another mother in need and will be needed daycare starting in August. So my mother in law and I were talking and we don't know what is a fair price. The baby will be about 4-5 months when starting. My mother in law has my son, 2 years old, and that is all and does a lot for him, so I know she will be good, so what is fair in the Marengo area?

I charge $50 day, includes food. I am not licensed. I offer part-time care. A very small group, loving home environment. Some that charge less are full of kids, something to consider. Some moms like a small group. Also, you should have a contract, friend or not. Google day care contracts. Good luck!

I was paying $150 a week for my son who just turned 1 to a woman in her home. She was not a licensed home daycare. When she watched both of my boys, I got a $10 break and paid $290 a week. I had to provide all food, snacks, drinks, etc.

We just, as in January 5, changed my 1 year old's daycare provider. When I was looking around, I was given rates of anywhere from $150 - $175. These were both licensed home daycares that provided all food and beverages.

I am not sure how this would compare to where you are, but it gives you an idea.

We pay $140 and she is licensed. We were quoted $140-170. They provide all the food now that Connor eats regular food, but I had to bring my own formula/baby food until then.

I do home daycare and charge $50 a day. I am not near Marengo so prices may be different, but that's what I charge as well as other in-home daycare providers near me.

It is anywhere between 35 and 36 per day including all food and snacks once the kids are at that age. Until then the parents provide baby food and formula and all of the other baby necessities, wipes, diapers, ect.
