What Ever Happened to the Baby Tub Seats
They used to sell the baby seats for the bathtub with the suction cups on the bottom to help them sit up and play. Does anyone know where I can get two of them (I have twins) or what happened to them? I know the only one they sell at the stores are for smaller babies and my boys are ten months old and ready to sit and play in the tub. Thanks.

I just recently saw something similar to what you're referring to at Buy Buy Baby in Downers Grove. They just opened recently. It's on Butterfield Road just West of the Bed Bath and Beyond.

Some were recalled because they were unsafe. Pretty much any baby book/parenting magainze will list them as something not to use because they have caused accidents.

I actually had this same question when I was looking for a baby seat recently and finally went another route, but... last week I went to the new baby store by my house, Buy Buy Baby, and they had quite a few options available. If you're not familar with the store it is new to the area and is similar to Babies R Us, but owned by Bed, Bath, and Beyond (so super organized and nice!). The only one in Chicago is in Downers Grove, right off of 355 and Butterfield Road (intersection of Butterfield and Finley). Since you're not far, it could be worth the trip! Good luck!

Hi there-
I found a couple of different kinds for you.
1) http://www.csnbaby.com/asp/show_detail.asp?sku=SFT1116&am...
2) This one looks awesome if you are short on space
http://www.amazon.com/Dream-Baby-Fold%252dAway-Bath-Seat/...
3) There are a ton more. Just go to www.amazon.com and check it out.
Hope this helps and yes, they do seem to be not readily available.

we found a safety first at babies r us. It has an attachment that you put on the side of the tub to rest against. we also have a stool to kneel. My daughter likes her seat a lot!
Hope this helps.

S.,
Thank you for asking this! I've been looking for months! I tried garage sales, but no luck. I'll try Buy Buy Baby. ALSO, my 9 month old son has been sitting on his own since he was 5 months, but he still can't sit too well on the slippery bathtub bottom! (And no, he's not behind in development, as I'm sure yours aren't either!)

I too tried to find these when my now 4 year old was a baby. I finally found one at a garage sale. I believe they stopped making them because of idiot parents that would leave the bathroom while their baby was in them creating a drowning hazard. You also might want to check Ebay.
