What Do You Wear to Sleep? - Green Cove Springs,FL

So, I think I will have to change what I wear to sleep...which is usually nothing. I bought a robe the other day, so if my daughter gets up at night I can throw it on and tend to her. But, last night the dog wakes me up at 11 to go out side. Grumbling, I get out of bed and stumble through the house to let her out. She takes two steps and goes rigid, I wasn't wearing my glasses, but I knew what that pose meant, there was something else in our yard.

So I start to call her back and she darts forward, yep there it is, the neighbors cat. The stupid thing runs right across our yard, as opposed to jumping the fence right next to it, with my dog hot on it's heels, and me running after her. The cat runs to a corner with a hole it...and stops to hiss! My dog actually had her mouth open and makes this huge leap and.....BANG! headfirst into the fence. The cat barely escapes, and now I am standing in the yard, stark naked and for the first time and realizing it. So I run back into the house, and grab something to wrap myself in, go back out and bring in the stupid dog who is still trying to figure out how the cat outsmarted her. Thankfully, we have a privacy fence. We only have one house that has two stories to it, and of course there was a light on in the upper level and their blinds were open, I am silently praying that they didn't happen to choose that 20 seconds of exposure to look out the window. Please...please...please.

My best friend, (when she took two seconds to stop laughing) told me that's what I get for sleeping naked. So just curious, what do you wear to sleep?

What can I do next?

OMG.....LOL to the max!

Okay, my Mom always chose to sleep buck naked. As children, my Sis & I hated it! Hated seeing her boobs flopping in the breeze as she ran for the phone! OMG, she'd be kickin' my butt if she could read this! To this day, she still sleeps naked....when she's home alone. It's the family joke, & all of us tease her about it.

I have always worn jammies, but now just wear a top & undies. Thank you hot flashes! I gear my choice to the weather. Love flannels, love super thin in the summer. My Sis wears silky men's style sets year round.

Thank you for my daily dose of laughter!

I wear jammies. I take a bath and put jammies on as soon as I get home. I love being in jammies of all kinds. They're my favorite!

I also love the feeling of being naked, but my husband won't leave me alone at all if I try sleeping naked. I need my sleep. ;)

I wear a tee-shirt. For that exact reason...at least it wasnt a skunk! I locked myself out of my apartment on time at 11 pm with my dog and of course it took a bit for the super to come with the key (thankfully it was warm out) and there I was standing in just a tee...NOT five minutes before he got there did my dog get sprayed by a skunk!

Great story.
We sleep naked; the only exception would be if we're guests in someone's home, then it's Tshirt and underwear (I hate clothes when I'm sleeping though). Our children know that closed doors are not to be opened, they are to knock. That's just basic manners all the time though. I do have a robe that I keep draped over the footboard though if something came up in the night.

you make me think of this hilarious photo of a building on fire and there is a man going down the fire truck ladder with fireman. Stark naked. haha

I just wear some comfortable pants or shorts and a t shirt or tank top. You can get nightgowns that have a lightweight material so maybe it'd still be almost like sleeping naked.

Thanks for the story... i got a laugh out of it! :-)

Undies only. BUT, I don't have tiny kids or a dog. I think I remember wearing at least a t-shirt when the kids were still really small.

Pajama bottoms and a t-shirt in the winter, pajama shorties and a tank in the summer. I once had a spider crawling across my you-know-what in the middle of the night while sleeping naked, so that put an end to that habit!!

LOL LOL LOL Wonderful story! LOL

If they were actually looking at the time, they probably couldn't see anything because their night vision was destroyed by the light in the room so you have nothing to fear.

Thanks for the wonderful laugh. Good luck to you and yours.

LOL, that is too funny.
It also remind me one of mine.
I always sleep with bra, something about my big boobs and gravity that I don't feel right sleeping without a bra.
But one night my bra was bother while sleeping and half sleeping just open the back closure to it but let it on.
Next morning I went out to put the garbage, talk to a neighbor and go back home to the bathroom just to see that my bra was pull up almost at my neck!
and it wasn't one of my pretty ones either.
Now, how I do sleep has change most of it as my marriage and kids has change.
When just married, I slept naked, later I use a nice pajamas, when my second born most time I would fall sleep with whatever I was wearing or sometimes I just didn't even change my pajama so I went back to bed with it.
Now it all depends, if I want some wow chicky wowowo or just sleep, lol.

Usually a bra and underwear (thong), sometimes naked. I get too hot to wear anything else. Plus I don't like to feel tangled up in clothes.

always cotton pajama pants and in the winter a long-sleeve shirt and in the summer a tank top (my favorite jammies are my scrubs from the hospital).
I have 2 boys ~ 7 and 3, and a dog. Enough said :)

I wear PJ's. If they're fleecy, I'll put the bottoms next to my bed to slip on if I have to get up...because I hate having things riding up my legs.

My preference is a tank top and silky/satin PJ bottoms because they don't get bound up in the sheets and ride up my legs. I wear SOMETHING to bed because I am a single mom of two boys...and they don't always knock.

I sleep in nothing, but never knowing when one of my two kids are going to need something my robe is on the end of my bed.

My mom could be Sue H's mom and I really don't want to do that to my kids...

I am one who prefers to sleep naked but it just doesn't work after you have children...

I hate clothing that moves around or bunches...so for me it's always just panties and a tight fitted tank!

I have night shirts, old t shirts that aren't good enough to wear out (like a hole in the seam or a stain), or a tank top and underwear. Just me and my daughter so I cover up but still ok to walk around because its just us. Usually when I get up, i put yoga pants or bathrobe on. When its cold, i wear long sleeves and pants but I wake up all the time because I'm so restricted.

I wear a tshirt when I get into bed, but it's hot and annoying and oulls at me when I roll over, so it's usually on the floor by the end of the night. The only reason I attempt it is because my kids sometimes try to sneak into my bed

LOL! Great story! We keep our house cold at night - 65F (my husband & 2 boys are like heaters at night), so I sleep in leggings & tees, sometimes even a sweatshirt & socks. Sometimes I wish I had on a hat & mittens! I even have an extra blanket on my side of the bed. But if I ever have to get up & run outside, I won't be caught naked ;)
