What Do You Think of the New Target
The Target in our area has been annoucing fresh foods coming soon for about 3 months and they slowly been moving things arround. I only been there a few times in the past few months. Well today I had to make an exchange, need a few items and wanted to check out the school supplies. My experience was horrible. It was like shopping at an overpriced discount store.
First it was difficult to even get into the parking lot as there were 3 cars parked in the no parking zone, and another one waiting blocking the cross walk for the enterance and exit. Well waiting in line I saw the manager and asked if he could do anything about it, he said he talked to security and there's nothing they can do except ask them to move, but if they don't want to they can park there. Of course, I couldn't find anything since it's all rearranged, some of the school supplies were at the front of the store and others in the back. Since they had to make room for the new grocery store, everything is bunched together and the isles are too narrow. The clock (item I had to exchange) was in the special college section, but there were college items spread all over. I thought I'd check out the produce, very expensive.
Has anyone else had a better expience?

Guess I am in the minority, love Target. Clean, organized, never long lines,
always have what I went to get. I think a lot depends on the managers
of the stores.

I'm with Patty. Super Target is the only place I go for groceries, cleaning supplies, school supplies, and most of my kids' clothes. It is always incredibly clean, never crowded, and the service is fantastic. I love, love, love Target!

Hmmm, ours hasn't changed and I hope it doesn't... I refuse to go to Walmart, but then again I don't believe in Super-any store. I buy groceries at the grocery store (or the farmer's market or butcher shop), buy clothes at clothing stores, and buy wine at the state store... oh wait, on that one we have no other choice in PA ;)

The one near us also added a food section. I like it! The change over was frustrating and initially it was mobbed but now it's great. Size wise it's good, because they used to have check stands at both ends of the store , but eliminated the ones at the mall side to make room for the grocery area. I would suppose that individual managers make the difference.

I would so rather be at a Targert than a Walmart, but here Walmart is cheaper on basics, like milk and bread. So for big shopping I go to Walmart.
I will do Target for the back to school supplies next weekend, free tax weekend in VA.

Yep, I've had a good experience! My Target just got the fresh groceries a few months ago. They did a pretty good job of not tearing the place up while they converted it. Now I love the convenience. I don't do major grocery shopping there, but if I'm there anyway and I happen to need fruit then it's simple! Hope it gets more organized at your Target.

Ours were bad during the changeover, but once they were done they are pretty nice and clean.
Bananas are more expensive. price is per banana not pound. Otherwise I think the prices here are pretty good and competitive.
