What Do You Do When Your Child Is Sick?

I am starting an accelerated program where I will not (usually) be able to stay home with my son when he is sick and can't go to daycare. My husband is out of town during the week, so he's not an option either, and we don't have family around to rely on. How could I find an "on-call nanny" for these situations, as well as for occasional weekend nights?

Thanks for any suggestions!

What can I do next?

Maybe u can find a baby sitter in ur area to care for him while ur out. But I must say that when a childs sick, it helps if they have someone that will nuture them like mother does.

Do you have any neighbors that you can trust? What about online classes, if the schools offers them? I know that It can be very hard when kids are sick, mine came home today.

This was my biggest concern when I became a single working mom. Get to know your neighbors, join a church and MOST OF ALL realize work can't fire you for taking care of your kid.

I provide a quality childcare program. That focuses on education and academic success. I also provide drop-In care. I provide 2 hot nutritious meals and 2 snacks daily (fresh vegetable and fresh fruit). Based on family scheduling other meals are available upon request. I provide daily information sheets and progress portfolios for each child. I have a licensed state registered facility and I will be entering into the homes of distinction program soon. (That’s an accreditation program for in-home child-care programs). I also accommodate Peachcare and state subsidized families. I have excellent references and my background has been a lead teacher in the implementation of effective Toddler curriculums. I have a bachelor’s degree from Clark Atlanta University and I have exceeded the annual number of training hours providers are required to attain. I hope that my program sounds like it could meet the needs of your family. I would love to speak with you personally about the program.
