I see so many cute outfit for girls (sigh!!) but for boys the choices are so very limited. I am sure there are other moms like me who have looked around for cute outfits for baby boys. Thats why I thought I will ask what you found for your baby and where?
I am now looking for a cute and nice birthday outfit for him. He is only 10 months old but me already started planning :) It will be in summer - hot and humid. Any recommendations for stores/brands?

I am also looking for regular summer wear for him.Something light and super comfy. Any brands you really loved? Thanks!.

What can I do next?

My son wore a Polo Shirt and Jeans. He looked "cool". He He. Nothing special just more dressy than a reg tshirt and jeans.

Any brands will work - b/c I think you can find something cute anywhere, but for extra special stuff I guess Gymboree (or Crazy 8 is their cheaper version) or Gap (Old Navy is their cheaper version).

If somebody walked in right now with a million dollars for the answer to that question I couldn't tell you. Go to Gymboree-they always have adorable boys clothes.

I bought my boys Carter's tshirts/onesies with "I'm One" on them and my oldest wore denim shorts, youngest wore denim pants. Summer and Winter B-days. For clothes, I get a lot of everyday outfits at JC Penney or Kmart. I hate to pay a fortune for play clothes.

I buy a lot of my boys' clothes from Crazy 8 and Old Navy. My oldest wore wranglers, boots and a camo shirt for his 1st bday (he was walking by bday) and my youngest wore jeans and a long sleeve tee with Elmo that said "Today is my 1st birthday".

Mine was in a swimsuit (born in July) and rash guard.

For just a LITTLE older... check out some of the cutest boy clothes ever here http://www.bodenusa.com/Boys-Clothing.html order big, because they are STURDY and last forever. ALSO, first order, only order 1 inexpensive thing (like socks or something). Because once you do you get the codes that are Buy 3 get 1 for $1, or 25% off, etc.

My son's birthday is in the summer and when he was one I found the cutest little outfit. It was swim trunks with a coordinating shirt. He loved the colors and I thought the entire thing was just cuter than words. The trunks looked like shorts so if you didn't know they were trunks you would not assume they were. They were yellow and had multi colored sea creatures all over them. The shirt was white and had one of the sea creatures in the center. The colors really flattered him and he looked so cute in it. We got a gold paper crown that tied in with all of the colors.

A cute outfit that matches or has a theme will be great! But let's face it...Most people will want to see your little guy taking the first bite and having a good time with his birthday cake!!! That being said...look for a cute bib that has a big #1 on it!!!!

For my son's 1st birthday (last August), I wanted something really comfortable for him. So we got him a nice Polo yellow polo, red/green Polo shorts, and some cute sandels. And he was comfortable alllllll day.
You want him to be super cute and unique, but most important, you want him to be comfortable.

Good Luck

For each of my kids' birthdays, I have had them wear "age" shirts (with a giant number of the age they are turning). I have found them at Babies R Us and I've ordered custom ones on Etsy.com. I love that they wear them for their birthdays and then for the rest of the year.

As for light weight clothing in general, most places like Carters, Gymboree, Old Navy, Crazy 8, etc. make some really cute one-piece summer outfits for boys. They have woven and knit options, as well as sleeveless. Good luck!

My son wore a little blue checked jon jon from Strausburg babies (I got it on ebay:)) with a white onsie underneath. Super cute.

His normal summer wear were tshirts and these athletic lightweight shorts from Osh Kosh. They are that kind of windbreaker material that gets wet and dries real fast. It seemed my son was always jumping in a fountain or sprinkler somewhere, so they worked out great. I bought several pairs of shorts and tshirts from oshkosh, and the colors all worked together and so they were easy to mix and match.

I'm also a Gymboree Junkie, but am too poor to buy full price. I haunt the sale racks and buy off season for the next season. The clothes are almost always super good quality, and really cute. If you buy off season, you end up paying about what you would pay at Target or less.

it's not so much the label, but your timing. Wait until closer to his birthday & you'll have more seasonally-appropriate choices! Patience is a virtue!

We had a joint birthday party for my son and his Dad. Their birthdays are a week apart. They both wore white polo shirts, jeans and Nike sneakers.
