Hello,

Does anyone or have experienced stretch marks after pregnancy? Have you tried any creams (like maderma) that would help remove stretch marks? does it really work or is cosmetic surgery the only answer?

Hello,

I had my daughter last June and wound up with a few unsightly stretch marks. I have been using Stretch Mark Smoother from Avon Solutions for about 3 months. They have dramatically lightened and on my left side have almost completely dissappeared! It's a relatively inexpensive cream and the tube lasts awhile. Just a thought that you might want to try. It's worked for me! Good Luck!

Petroleum Jelly is what works the best for any and all scars/birthmarks. I had hernia surgery March 12,2009 and I had to wait longer than usual for healing(i'm diabetic)so now I can put something on the scar for lightening it up.

I have been using a creamed petroleum jelly that I got at the .99 cents only store just this month, and after a week of using it every other night or so. My scar has diminished and it has become less big and bright. I hope you understand what I mean.

The scar was a reddish color due to where it was and I have also used it on my old stretchmarks from my own baby (17 3/4 yrs old) and they have lightened up too. Its in a blue and white 6 oz. tube with a flip top lid and its a non name brand from the .99 cents only store. I hope this helps.

Hi L.,

I have used all kinds of expensive cream from fine department stores. Nothing really works well like Palmers coco butter. Anything with vitamin E will work. Unless you want to explore and use pure olive oil. Old Italian remedy. It really works.

Good luck.

Stretch marks are a result of the collagen and elastin in the skin breaking down. Cosmetic surgery does work but trying a conservative approach first always seems less risky. The products that my friends have told me that works best for them is Arbonne's NutriMinC RE9 Anti-aging Body Serum and Body Lotion. I happen to be a consultant for Arbonne and would be more than happy to send you a sample or you can find a consultant through Arbonne's website (www.arbonne.com). One of the nice things about Arbonne's products are that they are free of the harmful ingredients like mineral oil, parabens, & phthalates. Good luck in getting rid of those stretch marks! C.

HI! Congrats on the new one! I didn't use cream, but I did use Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula w/Vitamin E. This stuff works! I use it and it heals and soften rough and dry skin. Plus, it smoothes the marks and tones the skin. You can probably find it at Target or Wal-Mart or any other places as well. I hope this works!

Hi L.,

Jafra makes a wonderful product called Stretch Mark Corrector. I have many clients who have used this product to successfully remove or diminsh stretch marks. The link to the product info is: http://www.myjafra.com/WEBCGIPR/JMJ0010R.PGM?CTA_H=000695834
Jafra uses a combination of vitamins, soothing oil and botanical extracts that have been used in herbal remedies for thousands of years. Tahitian Tamanu fruit extract helps stimulate collagen synthesis and Rose Hips Oil helps reduce the appearance of scars.

I've been using dermalmd stretch mark serum with a derma roller and although I did not take before and after pics, it has slightly diminished my stretch marks. They are still noticeable but my husband says they look lighter and I think so too. I have used this everyday after I shower for about 3 weeks and have used the derma roller only twice. It smells good and it will last you for a while.

Hi,
I have a cream that is from The Body Shop that helps diminish stretch marks. I am no longer doing Body Shop at Home spa parties so have a lot of inventory for 1/2 off. You can try it for free!

I have heard that vit E is good for that, but I don't know, I have not seen that much of an improvement. Friends have told me that you must use coco butter before they come, but once they are here they are here to stay. I hope that is not true!

Good luck

No experience using creams but I do know that vitamin C builds collagen, and Young girls who get sretch marks from growing fast are usually caused by a zinc deficiency.
