What Are the Part-time Child Care Options in NW Suburbs?

Are there any moms out there who use a part-time child care service in the Palatine area? (Could be Barrington, Arl Hts, Lake Zurich, etc.) I work from home one day per week and am researching child care options so that I can have coverage while working from home. Thanks!

My daughter is enrolled in a GREAT home daycare in Barrington. She absolutely loves it. We have been enrolled since she was 3 months old. She is almost 2. The great thing about this is that children of all ages are there learning together. It is called Appletree Daycare. Diane is the daycare provider. I cannot say enough great things about her or her school.

I know of an in home daycare provider in downtown Barrington. I have been bringing my daughter there part time for a year and a half. She loves it! If you are interested in more information please contact me.

My daughter was in Kindercare in Roselle/Elk Grove Village on Nerge Road. We recently moved and she now goes to preschool at the south barrington park district.

They are extremely flexible and provide a safe nuturing ennvironment for your child. I was sad to leave but it was a little too far for me to drive.

Liz is the director and Deb the asst. director.
Let me know if you would like more info.

Hi T.,
My daughter and son attend a great in-home daycare in Palatine part-time. The owner, Kathy Sorci, and her assistant, Beata, are great with the kids. I'm not sure if she has openings right now, but if you're interested, I can give you her phone number.

T., Part of my business if helping families find daycare and school options for their children. If you want this service it is FREE to Mamasource members! Just give me a call at ###-###-####

All I need is to know what your specific needs are and I can help you find a few places that match your wants.

Good luck,

I work from home, too. When my 4-year-old daughter was 15 months I looked everywhere for places that would take tots for one day a week. I highly recommend the Early Childhood Education Center in Schaumburg, on the campus of Roosevelt University, on Golf Road and McConnor Parkway, behind Borders and between IKEA and Woodfield. Excellent teachers and they're always very flexible and accommodating. My daughter has thrived there and we now have her in four days a week. There was never any pressure to put her in for me and we gradually upped it as we felt comfortable and needed to as I took on more freelance work as she got older.
