Hello moms! Ok after much back and forth of what to do...trying to loose weight and failing every time!! I think I have decided to bite the bullet and join weight watchers. I have done WW alot but never acually joined just used the books and stuff but since having my son 4 years ago I CAN NOT stay motivated at all. It use to be so easy! I know what needs to be done to loose weight I know Iwhat I need to do I just can't stick to it! Im thinking going to meetings once a week and weighing in will help me stick to it. My cousin is willing to do it with me so we will go together which I think will help.

My question is, is anyone doing it right now? I was just wondering what the price may be. We are not starting till Aug (when we get back from vacation). I have about 30lbs to loose...I need to get motivated to work out too but I think geting my eating under control will help me to stick to working out. I have a HARD TIME with food!

Thanks!!!

I'm currently doing it. I already lost 7 pounds in four weeks. I signed up i June and I paid $52 for three months. After that I think it's around $18 a month.

Weight Watchers is great! I lost 20 lbs. with them last year. My big advice is to be sure to use your points and also be sure to give yourself your splurge items. You'll find it a lot easier to stick with it if you're not depriving yourself of anything.

With WW, there's a lot of accountability and your strategy of going to meetings with a cousin is a super one.

Keep in mind, too, that working out doesn't have to mean a trip to the gym. Find what you enjoy doing. Maybe it's going for walks, maybe it's swimming or golf. Don't force yourself to do exercise you hate, but instead try different things until you find something that's motivating.

Good luck!

Its about $18 month for etools, which is what I always do. Its $40 if you want the meetings and other stuff, never tried this approach, but have had great success without it.
I have lost my baby weight with both kids on it. Well almost, have 7 more pounds to go after this baby.
I have lost 17 lbs in less than 2 months.

WW is a good program. I know many people who have used it to loose weight and were successful at it. I did the program for a period of time last year and lost weight but I wasn't consistent.
Recently I decided to discontinue because I didn't want to spend money on something I wasn't using on a regular basis. A week ago I signed up for MyFitnessPal. It is similar to WW in the way that you record your food intake and exercise, but instead of adding points you add calories. It also tells you how many calories you burn during you workouts and adds that to how many calories that you can consume that day. You can connect with others for motivation. I really like it. In the past week I have lost close to five pounds, which was similar to when I started WW. I need to mention that it is FREE. I would recommend checking it out and maybe trying it for a couple of weeks. If you do join you can add me as a friend and we can motivate each other, my username is maizeandbluer1. Good Luck

I was doing it weekly as you go and paid 13 a pop... I dont got anyway, but still use their pedometer. if you don't already have one, get one. this way you can truly track how many steps/miles you are taking in a day. By using the pedometer, it might motivate you to move more. How? for example. say you have walked about 4.5 miles in a day... I found that at times, I would want to make that an even 5 miles. so I would continue walking .. just little tricks like that that I find helpful. also checkout a free website, myfitnesspal.com << its' a fun site and you can add your profile and that fact that you want to lose 30lbs..Once you do, it will then let you know how many calories a day you need to do so. Additionally, you earn extra calories for exercise you may have done. What I also like about the site is that it doesn't just track calories, it keeps track of protein and sodium.. anyway, check it out..
Lastly, it's the little "consistent" things that add up (it's goes both ways , good and bad) so if you consistently eat a good breakfast, it's probably certain you won't be famished by lunch.. Add for example, an extra veggie when you prepare dinner or lunch.. take out a starch. I do this kind of stuff all the time. For example, while I did eat a burger yesterday, it had NO cheese on it and instead of fries, I have a mixed green salad with lite dressing.. I still felt satisfied having NOT had those greasy fries. again, just do little things and you will begin to see a difference.

I wish you the best..

I don't know the prices, but I have a girlfriend who does weightwatchers. She lost 100 pounds and continues to do it for motivation to not gain the weight back! Good Luck, I hope it works for you too!
