So What Happened?

I have decided to try Weight Watchers due to all the positive feedback. In my first 2 weeks, I lost 5.8 pounds. I have changed the things I eat and am doing the point system. I exercise alomst every day as well. In five weeks I have lost 14 pounds. It has now been 41 weeks and I have lost a total of 50 pounds. I went from a size 14 to a 6/8. WW really works. You have to stick to it though. I only missed two meetings in 41 weeks. Even when I was out of the state, I found meetings to attend. There is no magic pill, surgery, or drink that will help you lose the weight and keep it off. You have to eat right and exercise. That is the bottom line!

I have had great success with weight watchers. My husband has too. The key is to menu plan, bring healthy low point snacks with you so yu can make good choices and stick to the program, by going to the meetings and having someone you are accountable to. I have lost 20 lbs and he has lost almost 40 lbs. Good Luck!

Erin,
Weight Watchers is a great program b/c you learn to change your lifestyle versus major dieting. I lost 45+ pounds and became a lifetime member. I kept most of it off pretty harmlessly for 5+ years and I, personally, slowly got lazy and gained SOME of it back. If I had continued to weigh in monthly (which was no cost as a lifetime member), I would have kept more off, but at some point I stopped weighing in monthly and some slowly crept back...not all though. I'm still healthy, but would like to lose 10 lbs.

I think it is the best program out there b/c they teach you how to eat regular food and be healthy.

Hi Erin,

I started weight watchers 6 weeks after my baby was born, back in October, 2007. I think it's the best diet out there, I just reached my goal weight this week. I lost 30 pounds on it. I was nursing my baby up untill a few weeks ago. The weight does come off slow, but it's very healthy and it forces you to eat healthier and drink more water. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to lose a lot of weight or just a little. I hope that helps.. If you want any quick recipes or ideas for meals , I would be glad to share with you.

Good Luck!
K.

Hi Erin, I had great luck w/ Weight Watchers! I had never been a successful dieter in the past. Anyway, I went to the meetings, I think they are helpful for many reasons. You can get some good recipe and snack ideas. Also, it helped me to be accountable to someone else's scale & to see the people there that had lost weight and KEPT IT OFF! I lost 40 lbs in 6-7 months & have maintained the loss for 7 months. I was super strict and stuck to the program 100% the first several months and then as I started losing more and more I would start using my 'extra' weekly points. The Sat a.m. leaders at the Sparks Greenbrae location are awesome!

A friend of mine lost weight with weight watchers. But her greatest success came when she started a vitamin she ordered! She's lost over 20 pounds since taking her vitamin over about a 6 week time.

Hi Erin, I've had GREAT success with Weight Watchers. I joined 23 weeks ago and have already lost 38 pounds. Personally, I did it for health reasons and the weight loss is just icing on the cake. I don't really use the online service, although I think it's great. I go to weigh in every week, but don't attend the meetings since I'm going at the highest expected rate of success (1-2 pounds per week). The meetings are good for people who need motivation. Hope this helps!
