Weight Loss Using Orovo

Has anyone tried Orovo to loose weight? I've heard good review for it and ordered it but am thinking, as with most weight loss drugs, its just a gimmic. I am doing WW also but was hoping to pair it with something to increase the amount of weight I would loose and boost my energy.

What can I do next?

I just oredered mine as well... I will keep you posted.

Ok, I resisted answering you, but I just can't help it. :) I have not looked at your other responses, but I would highly suggest that you just keep doing what you are doing by making good healthy choices and exercising as you can. Get a good pedometer to track your steps so it will encourage you to move more. I'm 10 years older than you and I'm JUST NOW learning good eating habits by seeing a registered nutritionist. Its amazing how much I'm learning and slowly changing my lifestyle. I've only lost 6 pounds since January, but I'm working hard and making healthy choices. Please don't do something to your body that is unnatural to lose weight if you can help it. I would think that your WW coaches are a great source of inspiration and accountability. Keep up your good work and build good habits now, so that in 10 years you'll be way ahead of the game. Best wishes!! Also, check out www.sparkpeople.com. Great web resource my nutritionist told me about.

I haven't done it yet, but my best friend and daughter have been taking the lipo b12 shot or maybe its lipo b6 not sure my daughter had her first 2 weeks ago and has lost 5 lbs and my friend has lost 16 lbs and started 2 months ago. They go to DR. Springer in the Kroger parking lot at 290 and Spring Cypress. There is a separate sign sheet they sign up on and they have to only see the nurse to get their shot after there first visit. Its 25 dollars a shot I don't know how ofter they get it but the B12 or B6 or whatever it is, is the actual vitamin that gives you energy.

If you are looking to pair your WW with something to boost your energy and increase your weight loss I would recommend that you exercise. As a personal trainer I don't recommend weight loss drugs to any of my clients because they only tend to be a quick fix and often times don't teach people healthy habits that they need to maintain long term weight loss. I know in your notes that it says that you have very little time to exercise, but small things like playing chase with your little ones, jumping on a trampoline, doing some squats/lunges/abdominal exercises while you watch tv in the evening all count! Heck, if you take the kids to the playground you can do some body weight exercises while they run around and play. Baby only wants to sit in the swing and get pushed? Push him in the swing and do lunges and jumping jacks inbetween pushes. Sure it looks silly, but I do it all the time! Studies have shown that moms who push strollers burn up to 30% more calories than women who walk without a stroller. So put the kiddos in a stroller and head outside (or walk inside the mall where it's cool), just get your heart rate up.

I don't know about that drug, but I lost 40lbs just walking. I walked about an hour everyday. Now I ride my bike to keep the weight off.

There really is no such thing as a "safe" over the counter weight loss pill, or any pill that gals from these herbal companies will try to sell you (they will promise you the stars and they talk a good game, but trust me, their products are not what they appear to be and should be taken off the market. If it's not FDA approved, don't take it!!). Most of them will give you short term wieght loss at best, and you may wind up with health problems, or putting on more weight than you lost in the end. I would suggest talking to a doctor before putting any supplement in your body. Err on the side of caution.

Kudos to you for getting in a bike ride, that is huge! You know I put on so much weight with my pregnancy and I was feeling overwhelmed. I did do WW for a while and took off 19 pounds, but I needed more. My husband showed me this book called "The Body Sculpting Bible for Women" it is awesome. You can just check it out at Barnes and Nobles or even online if you like. You do 10 min cardio per day along with a couple reps of sit ups. You do weight training three times a week. It gives you a nutrition guide, but you are already on WW so you are good there. Anyway, there is a page by page explanation of how to do the exercises and a DVD to show you proper form should you need some help. Girl, I love it! I have now come down from an 18 to a 14 and I feel so much better. You start with a break in routine for 6 weeks, then do that routine a bit more intensely for 4 weeks, and then there are harder routines after that. It is designed so that all you need to start are a pair of light weights 5-10lbs. So you might want to take a look at it. It takes about 45min per day, but I just love the way I feel. I don't know about the supplement you were thinking of, sorry. But I toy with the idea from time to time of trying some kind of supplement, but always end up doing it the old fashioned way. Best wishes!!

I gained 55 pounds with my first pregnancy and then lost 75. I didn't used to exercise before I had the baby, but was so disgusted with my huge butt in the aftermath of the pregnancy, so I ordered Turbo Jam off of an informercial. It was awesome! I just loved it so much I did it about 3 or 4 times a week. There are several differrent workouts you can do. If you only have time for 20 minutes, there is a 20 min routine, there is a 20 min abs only routine, and then there are a couple longer ones. The 45 min one was really hard, I rarely did that, but the days I didn't do Turbo Jam I was taking a walk. I didn't really have to change my diet either. I looked better than before I had a baby! Seriously!
You just have to make yourself do it, and it sounds like you are a motivated woman. Good luck to you! You can do it!
