Weight Loss After Pregnancy
my family has been criticizing me for being skinny. i've been chubby my whole life when i got pregnant january 2010 i lost weight at first trimester and i started to gain weight on my fourth month, I was really huge was checked for diabetes but my sugar is normal.
i gave birth oct 2, i lost only the weight of my baby plus the amniotic fluid.
march 2011 my hubby and i got dengue fever, it was my second dengue infection we we're hospitalized for more than a week. since then i started to lose more weight i am past my pre preg weight which is 65kg now i am 58-60kg. i am not feeling anything bad. in fact i feel good. my baby is on mixed breast and bottle feeding and she is also active she sleeps at 12 idnight, i also do household chores so i think this attributes to my weight loss.
why does my family reacts so much about my weight? what do you think moms?

I wouldn't worry about what others think. The only thing that matters is how you feel about yourself. Before I was pregnant I had an average build, I had a nice body. When I got pregnant with my first son he blew up like a balloon. My starting weight when I got pregnant I was 164lbs. Right before I had my son I topped out to 224lbs. I was huge, that was the biggest I had every been in my life. I lost only my baby weight and the amniotic fluid as well. Then when my son was 5 months old I found out I was pregnant again. I then had an emergency C-section with my second son. Now it's been 3 months since his birth and I have lost over 48lbs and still dropping. My grandfather makes fun of my weight but I don't let it bother me. I know what I like and I am working towards it.

The question isn't really how much you weigh, it's how you feel. Do you feel healthy? Do you have enough energy to do everything you want to do? If the answers are yes to both questions, then you are fine. But you do want to keep an eye on your weight-loss. Sudden, unexplained weight loss can be sign of serious illness. So if you aren't really doing anything to cause it you might want to talk to your doctor about it.
And your family reacts so much because they are either concerned or jealous. :)

I have no idea why your family is obsessed with your weight. We can't tell you that. I don't know what your weight is, have no idea how to convert the metric measurements. If your family saw you have a sudden and drastic change in weight, that may be a cause for concern. If you're concerned about your weight, speak to your doctor. If your doctor is fine with your weight loss, that may reassure your family.

65kg is not chubby and 60kg is not skinny.
It all depends on your height, fitness and well-being.
