Weekend Swim Lessons in the South Bay

Alamden Valley Athletic Club (AVAC) has wknd classes. They're in San Jose on Camden Ave. Open enrollment for new members is 3/10 I think. I really like it there. The student/teacher ratio is 4:1.

BTW, they also offer night lessons if you can swing that after work. I have my son in a Sat. lesson right now but switched it to Mon night so we wouldn't miss out on so many wknd activities. Lesson are until 8pm.

Are you looking for classes or private? For Adults or Children?

You could check out your local YMCA for Saturday classes. For private instruction you could take a look at my website www.TheSwimPro.com for more information. I actually teach swimming in Sunnyvale currently and in the Campbell/Los Gatos area in the summer. Other than that you could try www.clubswim.com which connects instructors and students for a small fee.

It might be too far of a drive for you, but try Almaden Valley Athletic Club in San Jose (85 and Camden). They have an excellent program with an indoor pool year round.

Have you checked out the Y on the alameda? They usually have weekend classes.

Have you tried AVAC Swim Club? They have weekdays, weeknights and weekends.

We take weekend lessons at the International Swim Center in Santa Clara. We also do lessons at AVAC (Almaden Valley Athletic Club) -- not weekends, but they do have weekend lessons.

I think it's hard to get into classes at both places, but I would recommend both.

Have you tried Water Babies in Campbell? They are fabulous.

The Betty Wright Swim Center in Palo Alto (Chalston & Middlefield) offer weekend swim classes. You can find them online

Try De Anza Cupertino Aquatic located on DeAnza Blvd near Hwy 85 in SanJose/Cupertino. There website is www.daca.org The website states swim school times on weekends as well as weekdays. I take my 11 mo. old son there for waterbabies classes.

I have a 3 year old son and a 5 month daughter.
I would also like to know where they have weekend swim lessons! I live in the Berryessa area in San Jose so if you find out, please let me know because you are right, they only have weekday lessons and my son goes to his preschool during the day.

You might want to try to YMCA - they have various sites especially around Santa Clara / San Jose and some of the pools are inside. They are extremely reasonable.
