I used to work for Pheasant Run in the Kids Klub. (this was quite a few years ago, so maybe it has changed) We used to do a special craft every weekend and the Kids Klub is there on Fri. and Sat. The pools are pretty neat (1 indoor atrium pool, 1 indoor/outdoor pool, 1 outside pool) The Charlestowne mall is across the street and Potowatomie park is great for kids. It is by the river, has mini golf, playgrounds, pools, and pedal boats.

I would Grand Bear Lodge in Starved Rock. It's much cheaper and safer (less falls due to slippy areas near the pool) than Key Lime Cove. It's about a 45 minute drive from the western suburbs. My kids were 3 and 2.5 and had a blast there.

We've been to Grand Bear Lodge in Utica near Starved Rock that is great for little ones (indoor water park, putt putt golf, on-site restaurants, etc.) and have also stayed at Key Lime Cove in Gurnee across from Great Ameria. Either of these would be great for you. Great America has a great section for little ones with small kiddie rides for outdoor fun and then Key Lime Cove has 2 areas in their water park for toddlers. Either one of these would make great memories for you! Enjoy your time!

I highly recommend Keylime Cove in Gurnee. It has a great section just for little kids. It is large but not too large. The hotel is new and has some good food options there. Look on line and see what the specials are. I also recommend going to Taco El Norte across the street for dinner.

Hi there! I recently went to Keylime Cove in Gurnee, IL. It's right by Six Flags Great America. If you wanted, you could actually do a package deal and take a shuttle bus from Keylime over to Six Flags and back. Keylime has indoor water theme park and lots of activities, even for the adults. It was inexpensive and we had alot of fun. I took a group of 4 girls with us and stayed over night. They have a website, you can google it.

howabout grand bear lodge in utica (near starved rock) my kids really liked it there when they were little.

J., I am not sure if your wanting to stay in st. charles but in aurora there is sci tech childrens museum. it is a lot of fun for kids. it is in downtown aurora. there are a lot of hotels and good parks. have a wonderful time with your granddaughter.

I'm not sure how much you want to spend, but I've heard that Key Lime Cove in Gurnee (I think) is great. It has an indoor water park with a zero-depth pool and lots of fun water activities for little kids.

I also heard from a friend that they only planned to stay 1 night. When they awoke in the morning there was a paper asking if they wanted to stay an extra night for 1/2 price...they did. Someone told them they had a lot of empty rooms so they were trying to fill them. This happened about 3 weeks ago.

Have fun whatever you do!
