Wedding Gift Ideas - Roswell,GA
I have been working for the same boss for 10 years. Our relationship is more like brother/sister than employer/employee. He and his finacee are getting married (both 2nd marriages) soon. Both are early 50's, grown children, financially successful. Have 2 homes - one a primary residence and one a vacation beach house. They have been living together for almost 2 years so they have already merged households. They are having a civil ceremony locally and then a reception/celebration @ Napa, CA a few weeks later for friends & family.
Since he really is someone very special to me and my family I would like to get or do something special. Does anyone have any unique gift ideas?

There are some nice spas in Napa--will they be there long enough and have the free time to do a couple's massage while they're there?

Here is my favortie wedding gift. A Vermont Wishbowl...what is it? A handmade wooden bowl that an artist paints using words that represent your best thoughts, hopes, dreams, for the couple. Check out the web site.

If you allow enought time you can customize all of the words on it and on the back put your own personal message and their names and wedding date. I have given this gift to several friends that have gotten married. We also got two of these on our wedding..love them.

I like to give Waterford crystal.
I try to think of something nice that they would not necessarily go out and purchase for themselves.

I second the spa idea!
You could also do a gift certificate to a restaurant where they live or will be honeymooning. When we got married friends of ours did a "date night" box... gift certificates to a restaurant, movie theater and ice cream shop. It was cute!

Engraved picture frame or wine glasses are always nice.

picture frame, but not engraved....just simple.
&/OR: a gift certificate for a professional portrait shot...since they're having a civil ceremony.
