Hi there!
I am the Maitron of Honor in my cousin's wedding and I am looking for a creative idea of something I could give as a wedding gift. I have thought of getting something off of the registry like a place setting, but also wanted to do something personalized or creative as well. My first thought was a scrapbook or something with photos, but I believe her mom is working on something for her already. I gave her a personalized recipe binder for her shower as well.
I thought of a personalized beach tote that they could take on their honeymoon, but thought I'd see if anyone else has any neat suggestions of something they've received or have given?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks again!

Her married monogram on a beach tote would be perfect! Along those same lines (depending on what you want to spend), you could purchase a piece of their luggage and put some honeymoon items in there- that way it is creative and off her registry!

When we got married, my husband's aunt knew that we were going to Rhode Island for our honeymoon, but that we were delaying the trip for a year (work schedules). So... she (and her daughters) bought us the carry-on for our luggage set and filled it with sunscreen, a visitors' guide for Newport, gift certficiate to a beautiful restaurant there, gift certficate to have a beach-side massage, gift certificate to CVS to get pictures developed and a photo album for the pictures. When we (finally) took our trip, there was a bottle of champagne waiting in our room with a note wishing us a Happy 1st Anniversary from his aunts and a bottle of wine from my parents. I love creative people!

I like the beach tote idea too. It's cute, fun and practical. I was never a huge fan of personalized picture frames and we got so many as wedding presents, all with our invitation inside them...so, I'd steer clear of that, but maybe that's just me!

Like Krista said, you could fill the tote with fun things appropo for their honeymoon. If they are leaving right after the ceremony or the next day I would give it to her before the wedding so she has time to pack it, etc. I also liked her idea of sending a bottle of champagne to their suite, that would be a great idea! You could also do a food basket, or a gift certificate to one of the resort's restaurants or whatever floats your boat!

What about getting their invitation engraved on a nice brass plate? (I think its brass LOL) But if you go to any well known engraving place they should have an example to show you and some templates that you can choose from. We did this for a wedding that we attended last year and it turned out beautifully
Good Luck

a personalized picture frame....commemorating the event.

We are celebrating our 30th anniv later this year, & I still have the frame I received as a wedding gift! I also have an engraved frame for our daughter whom we lost during her 2nd day of heart surgery. I love that my sis had her name engraved on it!

I use picture frames regularly as wedding gifts. I buy a very nice frame & then put $$$ inside it.
