Do any of you have recommendations for good places to shop for wedding dresses and bridesmaide's dresses? We live in Plano so somewhere close would be great! I'm helping my best friend go shop for her dress in a couple weeks ... very excited!

We started dress shopping yesterday and went to Mockingbird, Stardust and David's Bridal. My friend found her dress at Stardust and our experience there was fantastic! Melissa Lemons was our salesperson and she was so helpful in picking out dresses and being very honest about what did and didn't look good on my friend. We plan to go back later this month to order the dress. It's a one-stop wedding stop where you can also find bridesmaid, MOB&G, invitations, shoes, etc. Thanks to all of you who gave suggestions on where to shop. We were planning to hit all of the stores suggested, but when she found her dress at Stardust, it was so perfect for her that there was no need to keep looking!

Dont know what exactly you are looking for as far as wedding dresses but I got mine at davids bridal in march 09 its a size 8 and I'm willing to sell it I can send you a pic if you like.

I don't know if there is one close to you, but I got my wedding dress and brides maids dress at La'Patrica (sp?) in Dallas at Sam Moons. There is also one on Mac Arthur Blvd. in Irving. It's definately worth a look-see. I got my brides maids dresses for 60 bucks and they even kept them and wore them for other special occasions. Great prices...
I bought mine at Mockingbird Bridal. Another option would be to visit www.cocomyles.com. You can design the dress you would like (like Barbie.com for grown-ups). They will even show you how to copy some of those fabulous red carpet dresses. The price is very reasonable (much more reasonable than Mockingbird, LOL).
