Wedding and Reception in Dallas/Ft.Worth Area.

Does anyone know of a good place to have a wedding and reception that is not that costly. I want to get married next March and finding a place is giving me a headache. I don't want to spend a fortune on this wedding my goal for everything is around five or six thousand dollars. Please help!

Hi A.,

I had the baptisim of my son last february in Oak Ridge Country Club, It's located in Richardson, for about 50 people (including child) we paid about $1,500. I'd really like the service, the food and the place. I could bring some decorations for the table too. They put some but I put something else too. Here is the web site http://www.oakridgecctexas.com
I hope you find a nice and unexpensive place ! Congratulations !!!

pd. I'm sorry if I had some gramatic mistakes, but I'm a Mexican trying to improve my english.

It always depends on the number of people you have and what you are serving. We had a beautiful wedding at the Venetian Terrace in Las Colinas last June. You have the place ALL day for $750. The guys at the venetian do all the catering. They negotiate the chair rentals for you also. The only down side was they don't have an area for the bride to change, so we had a room at the Omni across the street.

If you want to see wedding pictures, I can send you a link to my photos.

I also have a great photographer, Colby Nate, ###-###-####.

I hope this helps!

We are getting married at the Eddleman-Ball McFarland house in Ft worth. Its only $1250 to rent the house for seven hours and its beautiful. You can go to www.historicfortworth.org and look at the pics. HTH! Oh and you can bring in your own food and drinks:) BIG money saver!!

My husband and I had our wedding at Lantana Lodge it's in Pilot Point which is close to Denton. But, it was wonderful. Everyone stayed at the lodge so we had every room in the place it was a huge party and a ton of fun. I know it changed ownerships since we got married there but, it was extremely reasonable compared to anything I could find in Dallas. We got married on the Guzebo overlooking the lake. Check it out the website is: www.lantanalodge.net. Good luck. Let me know if you have any questions.

Congrats ....well I http://adorableweddings.net/index.htmmarried here in 2004
its resonable and is fully decorated and a great price considering I looked for 2 yrs considering I had a budget of 5000...Also if u need a great DJ for cheap and is laid back and not stuffy i can give you his number! Also I used papasiotos for food and it was only 860.00 for enough food to feed over 80 people that included enchilads, fajitas with all the fixin also tea and chips.......I know how to budget weddings and have great ideas if you need any help!!!!

I don't know where you live, but each city has a city center and some have really nice places for weddings. Garland has a place called "The Atrium" which is where my daughter will be getting married and will have her party there. You can look at the city's website to find out what they have.

My sister had her wedding and reception at Winfrey Point in the White Rock area. The wedding was outside overlooking Downtown Dallas at sunset and the reception was inside. You have to book it with Dallas Park & Rec. I think it is only open on Wednesdays to view and is booked a year out, so if you are interested I would suggest calling now.

Congratulations on your wedding. My husband and I were married two years ago in March at Maple Manor in Dallas. We had the wedding and reception there and everything was wonderful. They are right next to the Old Warsaw - which handled all the food. My friends said it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. We had planned to be married outside (they have a lovely courtyard) but due to the rain we were married inside - which was much more intimate. Depending on your budget and number of guests, I'm sure they'd be able to accommodate you. Here's the link to their site, but I have to say it does not do the hotel justice: http://maplemanorhotel.com/homepage/

Please let me know if you have any questions! Best wishes, R.!

We had our wedding and reception at the Omni Mandalay in Las Colinas in March 03. We had about 50 people, and we had 2 banquet rooms, one for the wedding ceremony and one for the reception. We had the wedding at 11am on a Saturday, (for a discounted price) and then a lunch buffet reception. The hotel did the lunch, cake, a champagne toast, a bottle of wine for each table, our room for the night, and provided a really nice place for our out of town guests at a reduced rate. We were trying to cut costs too, so we didn't have a band, just a quartet playing at the ceremony, and then we turned up the hotel's piped in classical music in the reception room. You should call some hotels and find out what their wedding/reception packages are.

We used a photographer that let us have the negatives so we ordered our photos through Walgreens and it was much cheaper than ordering through the photographer.

If you have any questions, send me a message and I'll be glad to share my vendor's names. We were really happy with all of them.
