You do not need the baseball bats, tennis rackets, etc. that you put the paddle in, unless you want them for fun. It won't deter your girls from having fun. After a broken nunchuk, we replaced with a non-Nintendo brand only to have it break within three days. So make sure any additional controllers and nunchuks are Nintendo brand. The price difference was nominal.

Unsolicited advice: limit play time or use only as a reward if life seems to revolve around the wii. It is the source of many conflicts in my house (but this could be just my kid.) :-(

Do have fun. If it is a Christmas gift from Santa, I suggest you make a Mii (personalized charactor) for each member of the family ahead of time and have an elf name for the creator of the Mii. My son ate this up last year.

We love our wii! I bought it for my husband last year for christmas and it is great for when we have company over and when family visits, our son is a little young for it still (5 months). It just gets everyone involved and you can't help but have a good time! We bought an extra remote and nun-chuck. I kind of wish we have 3 or 4 sometimes but its not necessary. A lot of the games let you play with 4 players on one remote so you just pass it around for each turn. The package that i bought came with all the remote attachments like the steering wheel, baseball bat, tennis racket, and gun but we NEVER use them! Mario cart is the only one we sometimes have used the steering wheel for...Well hope you guys have a ton of fun!!! Happy Holidays!

We have four remotes so that all four of our kids can play certain games at once. Everyone seems to love Mario Cart (you can play with remotes only, but the steering wheels are fun - the rmote fits into the wheel.) The Wii Sports (didn't they come with it?) is fun. Ask around for fun games for girls your girls' ages. We have Cooking Mamma, but I don't really know that much about it. We just got Beatles Rock Band and I think my husband will like it the most!

an extra controller and numchuck. We also just bought the WII and have older kids so also got the wii fit board and plan for the family to get some exercise with that. We already have XBox 360 so rockband, dance revolution, and other games we will continue to use on xbox. I really didn't like the dance revolution as the aerobics part of it starts over if you make a mistake so that was annoying. Rock Band and Guitar Hero are a lot of fun but probably not something you have to get right now since your kids are so young but they will love it when they get a little older. My 9 year old plays it pretty well and we have fun playing it together as a family.

It should have came with a game and at least 1 controller and numchuck or at least the one we bought did. Don't need to buy a lot of other accessories until you buy more games then see what you need to get for those games. Most of the games will play with the controller so a lot of those accessories aren't necessary to play the game, they just make it more interesting and realistic like the tennis racket, bats, etc.

We did buy a steering wheel and bat at the Dollar Tree for a dollar. Figure would start with those and see if the kids actually use them before we buy more of those type accessories.

I would strongly recommend Dance Dance Revolution and 2 game pads. It's really fun for kids and helps with motor skills , plus it's a fun way to get your exercise and spend time as a family. We love ours and even my husband gets into it:)

Good Morning --
My best suggestion would be to get Wii Play. It's the normal price of most games AND it comes with an extra remote. The game is fun (we've had our Wii 2 years and the kids still play it. our kids are 5 & 7) and it helps you get used to using the remote & nunchuck. With 3 kids I would think you'd want at least 3 remotes so they can play together. We have 4 remotes & love to have bowling tournaments. HAVE FUN!!

If anything, get two more remotes. That way you have four if you don't already. Then when you buy a new game look to see what is needed. That is what we've done and we only have one accessory that came with a game. We have about a dozen or so games and just that one accessory. We do have 4 remotes with a four slot charger that helps keep the remotes charged and when we play games, the four of us, we each have a remote and can play together. Have fun with your Wii. Good luck and God Bless.

We love our Wii - favorite game for our kiddos (9 and 11) is Mario Kart. You will need a steering wheel, but it didn't cost that much.

Have fun! With this cold weather sticking around, you will love having your Wii even more!

You will need four controllers. It really saves alot of hassels. We also found a cheap ($15) charging system for our controllers at walmart. Otherwise you will need lots of AA batteries. Also my 4yo really likes the steering wheel.

We like to rents games from Family Video, before buying them. My husband also likes buying used games at GameStop. I suggest getting online to see what they have before you go.

We've had ours for a while and we only have 2 remotes and have done fine with it. We also got the charging station and the rubber covers for the remotes. Ours came with the Wii Sports and my kids love playing that. You can get a bunch of accessories but it all depends on the games you purchase as to what you need. We've managed with the remote that came with the system and bought one more...?? I'd say it just depends on what you plan to play.

Good Morning M., I am guessing you just bought the console and controlers, right? Wasn't there at least one game with it? If you have only one controler get one more. Then just look at the games at Wal-Mart, target or where ever you shop. Most will tell you age range. We just picked up 3 games for the oldest gr kids, can't tell ya the names as they are wrapped already...lol
Racing, fishing, skiing, boat races.. Wal-mart had a sale on games, so check there as the sale may still be on.

We bought us ( hubby & me) a Wii for our gift together, you and hubby might enjoy the sports Wii, bowling, golf, tennis,
For the boxing game you would need another type of controler.
Our grandkids have the sterring wheel for the racing but you can use the reg Will control also, just turn it length wise...lol AND Hit that Wall a millon times...lol

God Bless you with a Wonderful Merry Christmas
