I'm looking for a park on the southside that has a water playground. I did a search on chicagoparkdistrict.com and they all seem to be on the northside

What can I do next?

The park district website is terrible for finding these - I don't think it has most of them listed. There's a great one on the north side of 57th St. right across from Medici (near U of C). Not sure where else, but they're around.

I work near Dvorak Park (1119 W. Cullerton St.) in Pilsen and it has a water playground. I don't know if it is south enough for you, but they are usually not that crowded. They also have a pool.

Good luck keeping your kids cool this summer!

There's a water playground near my house in Berwyn. That's a south/west suburb of Chicago (15 min. outside of Chicago.) It's really nice for little kids. It's like a playground inside a shallow pool with water shooting everywhere. They also have a dry playground and a running track & kids play soccor there & other sports. My 19 month old is in a class there called amazing infants. It's really cute. It's a few dollars a day or you can get a membership. It's on 37th St. & a block east of East Ave. If you want directions just write me back.

Hi A.,

I know Hale Park has a water playground & also Bedford Park District does (in Summit). Never been to Hale, but its supposed to be fantastic!

There's also a fountain for playing at the 63rd St. Beach.
