Washing Car Seat Belts

I always washed our car seat belts in the washer on delicate cycle.

I have to admit that I also wash mine! I am WAY too germaphobic to wash it ant other way and feel like it is REALLY clean! They get so nasty so quickly!

Oops, I wasn't aware that I wasn't supposed to wash the car seat straps. I used 2 different Graco carriers with my 3 kids and washed on gentle and air-dryed the straps and the cover many times. I never had any problems with them after washing. They are a bit time consuming to remove though. I'm not sure how they expect them to stay clean w/t washing them. My kids always seemed to spit up or have explosive poop while in their carseats. Hope this helps.

Like one of the other Mom's I wasn't aware you were not suppose to put the seat belts in the washer. I used the washer on a heavy cycle and then air dried.

Then turned out perfect!

I use a zipper bag (the sturdy kind, not the mesh ones) made for delicates on the delicate cycle. I don't dry them in the dryer, just hang on a hanger.
