Was I Ever Pregnant, or Was It All in My Head?

Okay, I cannot be the only woman who has been in this spot! Help me out moms. My husband and I just started trying for our 3rd. By Day 6po, I felt cramping and assumed implantation? Then I became bloated, sore boobs and even some nipple discharge(sorry, tmi, I know) light headedness. I tested early several times, all negative. Today, got my period as normal. I was convinced I was pregnant...absolutely convinced(despite like 5 negative HPT's) So, was it all in my head or do you think there was any chance I was pregnant and it just didn't work out? If you've been there...I'd love to hear!

What can I do next?

Yeah, every month when I was TTC and I have TTC a lot in the last 8 years. I have had 4 m/c and I always had a positive HPT. I feel you are just wanting it so much that you were having psychosomatic symptoms. Just go with that and avoid the extra emotional anguish that goes with having a m/c, struggling to TTC is hard enough on you.
Good luck for next month (and wish me good luck too).

It's really doubtful you were pregnant. Believing you were pregnant isn't the same as having been pregnant. A bit of milk during periods isn't unusual if your youngest child was nursed and you're not that far out from having weaned. I think I leaked even without a period for well over a year after weaning.

I honestly think you were just hyper-aware of your period symptoms this time around and convinced yourself that they were pregnancy symptoms. It was all in your head. If you had a chemical pregnancy (where the body thinks it's pregnant but isn't really) you would have had a positive pregnancy test and then had your period. But that's not what happened.

All in your head... at least that's what it was for me last month too! I was CONVINCED I was pregnant... crampy, tired, sore breasts, bloated. These are all PMS symptoms too, which is what it was! I took 4 tests b/c I was that sure that I was pregnant, but just not pregnant "enough" to show up on the tests. Wishful thinking... keep trying!

I'm sorry - I don't think you were pregnant...there are times when we want something soooo bad that we convince ourselves that we've got what we so desperately want - that our body does things to help make us think we are...

I'm sorry!!!

No. I think every woman I've met who was trying, was convinced they were pregnant at some point. Symptoms can come from just wanting something really badly. Our mind convinces our body's of things.

Chances are you weren't pregnant, especially after 5 bfn's. I know what you're talking about, though, I've been there. The thing is if you're constantly thinking about it it seems to create symptoms or you mistake pms symptoms for pregnancy symptoms. My suggestion is to try to take it easy during the 2ww and don't test until you're a day or two late. It'll happen when it's meant to be, ya know? Good luck!

You probably were not pregnant. Those pregnancy tests detect even the lowest level of the HCG hormone with a positive result. I got a postitive pregnancy test result with a home pregnancy test (showed a very very faint line) and then immediately had it confirmed with a blood test because I had had a couple of miscarriages in a row. I was pregnant but my levels were extremely low...too low...which resulted in another very early miscarriage.

I got pregnant Dec. 27th and still had a period in the beginning of Jan. I didn't even actually find out I was pregnant till the end of Feb. When I asked my doctor about this he said that it isn't your period its called Implantation bleeding and is usually more spotty but I always had really short periods and the bleeding I had was really short so I had no idea : ) So u never know!!!

Just googled this link : ) Hope it helps!!

I'm not a betting person, I play the penny slots at the casino, but I'd be willing to bet $1,000 that you were never pregnant.
