i am 31 yrs old and have 4 children. but lately i have been really wanting another baby. i have even had so much nausea and heartburn and believe it or not, "fetal movement" in my lower abdomen over the past 2 or three weeks. i took 2 tests and they both have come out negative. what i don't understand is if i'm not pregnant, why do i get nauseous throughout the day? it's preventing me from eating or doing too much. has anyone else ever gone through something like this? it's making me nuts. any advive would help. thanks.

What can I do next?

S., You may have some sort of lower abdominal problem, you need to see a docotr. Why not adopt? There are many foster care babies and children in need of a home.

i had the same thing happen to me. It happened for 4 months and evry test i took was neg. I even took a blood test and it was neg. It got to the point where we bought every test in wal mart. Each test came out neg. The doctor just said my HCG levels were so low it couldn't be detected. ANd the blood test was taken so early on that it wouldn't of come up pos. Oh yeah, I got so mad at the whole thing that i even went to the extent of going to the ER and saying that I fell down the steps and I might be preg. They right away gave me a sonogram to check. Sure enough I was a little more then 16 weeks preg. Hopefully this helps. Don't worry, you will get through it. Just keep testing and talking to your doctor. When I finally talked to my doctor he just said my HCG levels were so low it couldn't be detected. So maybe you are preg. and your levels are low also. GOOD LUCK

Im in your shoes, so believe me when I say it is hard. My tubes are tied which makes it even more frustrating. Your symtoms are what my doctor called a sympathy pregnancy, which is kinda like when your hubby has your cravings while your pregnant. You want one so bad that your mind is actually telling your body that something is there that it isnt. I would try calling your doctor and ask him some questions about it.

I have heard of people who wanted a child so bad that they made thier bodies think it was going to have another. They would have morning sickness, feel movement and even start to show. But their is no baby. So I guess my best advice is to maybe talk to your doctor.

I can understand how strongly you feel about wanting another. I am going to be 33 this year and my son is 7. I want another so bad and my husband doesn't. Every time I get my period I am disappointed. I agree with the other woman that you should definitely go see a doctor and tell him/her how you are feeling and find out for sure. Don't drive yourself crazy. I know one thing, if you stress over it, it is only going to make it that much harder. Good luck, I feel for you.

When one wants to be pregnant so bad that it hurts, they convince not only themselves, but there bodies that they are indeed pregnant even though they are not.I say this from experience.A few years ago, I convinced myself that I was pregnant to the fact of sickness, nausea, gaining a little weight, and missing my period for two months.I stressed about it way too much, and I indeed took preg test everyday!None came out positive.I then confided in my mother whom told me that I wanted it so bad that my body has gone with my brain.I thought I was crazy for feeling so strongly to be pregnant, and then I stopped thinking about it, went to the doctor and got a blood test to know for sure. One week later, got my period, and everything has been different.I no longer stress about that stuff anymore, cause it literally made me crazy.Just talk to people about it, and hopefully these great ladies can give you advice that they are so graciously wonderful at.I only have one bit of advice, and that is to go see a doctor as I did and get a blood test done. Then you will for sure know.

Soudns like your convincing yourself you are preg and you already know what its liek so its not hard for you. I don't think you are crazy, but you do need to calm down. Your making yourself sick over worrying over are you possibly being preg. I understand you wnat to be preg but girl, you need to chill out. Good luck!

I had the same "symptoms" about a year after I had my son. I talked to my doctor about it and she said that it was actually the birth control pill that I was taking. I don't know if you are taking anything but that's what it was for me. It was actually fooling my body into thinking it was pregnant so I was feeling nauseous and all those other symptoms you feel the first few months. It made me feel so crazy that I decided to go off of it. Even though I was on the pill, I would still take tests every month because I was convinced I was pregnant!
