Want to Drop 10-15 Lbs.
I want to drop some weight and wanted to know if anyone tried Nurtisystem or Jenny Craig. I did the Nutrisystem for a few weeks from a friend, and that wasn't too bad...I was so hungry though!! So anyone know the easiest and a plan where you are not starving!!

I lost 40 pounds last year on Weight Watchers and have been keeping it off. The new system lets you eat all the fruit you want (and veggies) for "free." you can do it online, but for me, getting to meetings was key.

I am personally following weight watchers and have lost 23 lbs so far. It is a gradual progress but what is nice is that you are taught about portion control. Not any more expensive than Jenny C or Nutrisystem.

I joined a free website livestrong.com It allows you to EASILY log everything you eat and all of your exercise and then charts it for you. Looks and your intake and what you have burned. Also breaksdown carbs, sugars and so on. By logging EVERYTHING I eat, I find that I think twice before I put something in my mouth because I will HAVE to log it. Am I really hungry or just eating to eat?
Here's what I eat daily...
Sugar Free Jello as a morning snack right when I get to work 10 calories
Low Sugar Instant Oat Meal for breakfast 120 calories
grapes, carrots, or cleminties for mid morning snack ~100 calories
Wendy's Chili, Turkey sub at subway or homemade Chicken Soup for lunch about ~350 calories
Dannon Lite & Fit Yogurt or 2 clemintines afternoon snack ~75-80 calories
Chicken breast & veggies, Chili or Soup for dinner ~300-350 calories
post dinner snack of Almonds (170 calories for about 24), fruit (100 calories) or pickles (high sodium, but no calories or fat)
I am a muncher ( I sit at a desk all day), so I like to be able to eat every couple hours, but have something a little more filling for the meals.
I do cardio 5 days a week, if I have to miss, I work in something lik e20 mins of Pilates just to do SOMETHING. Haven't really lost weight numbers wise, but by the way my clothes are fitting, I am dropping inches.
Good luck! It's not easy, but you feel GREAT when you notice the progress!

I agree with the replies so far that say to just watch what you eat and try to make your choices to be healthy ones. I have also been working on loosing 10-15 pounds and so far have lost 7 lbs in 7 weeks.
I try to eat more fruit and veggies and limit my calorie intake to no more than 1500 calories on a given day. I also limit what I snack on in the evening (past 8pm) and drink lots of water.
Don't forget another important ingredient to weight loss is EXERCISE. I have been putting aside 20-40 minutes 3-5 times a week for various exercising and it has paid off.
Good Luck!

Hi R.---The best way to eat to maintain a healthy, just right for you weight, is to eat mostly plants. Eating foods with lots of fiber keeps you from eating too many calories. It will also keep you feeling fuller longer, and more satisfied, so that you don't feel like you are depriving yourself.
You also want to practice the ELMO lifestyle, Eat Less More Often. Having those healthy, fiber filled snacks, will keep you going between meals. Try not to eat too many 'healthy' processed snacks. Stick to eating things the way nature serves them up.
A couple of great website for recipes: www.vegetariantimes.com and www.eatingwell.com. You can also find a lot of great health advice at www.pcrm.org. Dr. Barnard has written a couple of books that address healthy eating and offers recipes as well. I work with a Naturopath who has her PhD in Nutrition. I have a bunch of great ideas that I could share with you, if you'd like. Feel free to contact me. And don't forget to exercise, even if it 's just parking as far as you can from your destination, work, the mall, etc. All that adds up. Good luck! D.

Do you want to lose this weight permanently, or just so you look better in a bikini on an upcoming vacation or a bridesmaid's dress at a friend's wedding and then you don't care if you gain it back? If it's for temporary loss, I'm sure these plans are fine. If you are looking to lose permanently, I would not suggest plans where you have to buy "their" food or use meal supplements. For permanent weight loss, you need to learn how to cook and eat differently and make good food choices. If you're not going to eat their meals forever, I wouldn't go this route. The "easiest" way to lose weight is to cut your portion sizes, and increase your exercise
