Want to Donate Children's Clothes

Our church, Chase Oaks Church, is doing Sharefest this Saturday, 4/26 all day long.... Sharefest is a daylong community outreach service day. Various life groups are going out into the community to do service projects and others will stay at the church to collect donated food and clothes/items.....
Anyone in the community is welcome to come out and donate items.

The following organizations will be served through volunteer service and donations:

New clothes and toys for 3 to 9 years

o Geriatric Wellness Center – Age 55+ cholesterol, blood sugar and pressure
o Adult Medical Clinic – Age 18-54 body mass index, blood sugar and pressure

So you can bring all your donated items to the Chase Oaks Church parking lot (next to the Cinemark Legacy theaters on Legacy/US 75-Central Expwy in Plano) ... and our volunteers will sort them and take them to the shelters that need them on Saturday, 8:30 am-3 pm.

I go to the Collin County Women's Shelter, Hope's Door.

The Family Gateway is one of my favorite charities; it is a homeless shelter for families with children; you can google the name to find their web site. There are a number of wonderful women's shelters around; try the Family Place or Genesis Women's Shelter. Don't wait too long with that formula or it will go out of date (personal experience).

Denton COunty Friends of the Family serves women who are trying to leave abusive situations. They're located on Crescent St. behind First Baptist Church in Denton, or you can donate to their thrift store on University.
