Want a Covered Patio! Know a Good Contractor?

My husband and I are interested in having a patio built. We are first time home owners and are truly inexperienced when it comes to this stuff. We have no idea how much a patio is going to cost (people have told us don't be surprised if it's around $10,000). We don't even know what we specifically want--i.e., concrete or stone, etc. Our backyard is not huge, so I just want a small covered patio, big enough for a grill and a table and chairs. A ceiling fan would be nice too! Does anyone know a good contractor? We need someone who's bonded and insured so we don't void our homeowners warranty. Thanks!!

What can I do next?

My husband and I looked into it last year and found a guy that we really loved and came highly recommended. Dynamo is the company name and his name is Ross Garza ###-###-#### www.dynamohi.com

He came out to our house twice, went over many different options and gave us a very competitive quote. We ended up not being able to afford it at the time for different reasons, but I kept his information for when we can afford to do it again. Our quote was for $4300, that was covered with a roof to match our and three arched columns at the end of the porch. Call him, he will come out and give you a quote. Good luck

Dynamo Home Improvement put ours in 3 years ago for just under 4000.00. It matches the house, has a ceiling fan and misters (get him to put those in free) and has held up perfectly. Ross, the owner, was a nice guy to work with. They got the job done in under two weeks. We had no problems. They have a website, I think another poster gave it to you.

Try out PS Construction. The email address is: ____@____.com. I don't have his phone # anymore, but can get it if you don't get him by email. He is a very reliable guy and insured. The owner is Pedro.

My husband and I just added one on a couple of weeks ago! We met with 5 different companies and settled on one. We actually narrowed it down to 2 and we chose the one because he did lights in the seat wall as an extra and we thought it was neat!

The one that we went with was http://www.legendarydesignlandscaping.com/
Tell Shawn that C. and Ryan Darney sent you to them.

The other one that we didn't go with but I have a couple of friends that used them and were happy was http://www.deckedoutpatios.com/

We tried to figure out if we wanted stone or concrete...we chose concrete and will have it stained (Shawn does it but you have to wait to do it for a month). We have a little boy and wanted the smoothest surface we could get...plus, concrete is 1/3 of the price of Flagstone!

We kinda knew what we wanted, but didn't say anything...we just asked Shawn what he envisioned and he told us and it was pretty much what we were thinking.

Good luck!
