Long explanation, but I don't want to make two stops tonight. My son eats Yo-Baby yogurt, which my local Wal-Mart does not sell. What yogurt do you buy at Wal-Mart that is comparable to Yo-Baby?!?!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

My baby man is a year and a half. He has loved Yo-Baby since the get go, so I have never tried anything else. I am just tired today and the other stuff I need, the other store that has the yogurt, doesn't have...lol!!

I am definitely going to attempt to make yogurt!! Thanks!

How old is your baby? Target and Wal-Mart both sell a yogurt for babies (in the baby aisle) that does not need to be refrigerated.

If he's 1 or older, you can get any yogurt (I know Danimals is good for younger kids and it's very smooth).

I also skip the baby yogurts or flavored yogurts completely. The first time I went to buy Yo Baby I looked at the price and about died. I want to do as much organic as possible, so instead I got the plain unflavored yogurt in the big container, and I mixed it with any of his fruit purees that I already had. If it needs to be sweeter, adding honey (if he is over a year) will help. One time I needed a small travel sized yogurt so I got the Yo Baby. I coudn't figure out why my son was freaking out like it was baby-crack. Til I looked at the label and saw how much sugar is in it! Why is sugar the second ingredient in a baby product, even before the fruit? I never bought it again. If you decide to do plain it might take some adjusting time because your son is used to the sugar in the Yo Baby, but it will save you a bunch of money. I use frozen fruit out of the freezer to mix it with now, or applesauce. Just pop the frozen fruit into the microwave for a few seconds, mash or cut it up, and add yogurt.

My kids love Yo Baby also. But, it is expensive and my Wal-Mart doesnt carry it either. My suggestion is to buy a yogurt maker....mine is Euro-cuisine but there are some other bands, as well. Use the Greek yogurt (I like Stoney fields Oikos) as a starter. I boil the whole milk. Once it has cooled to room temp I add a cup of the yogurt, stir and add to the 7 containers that came with the maker. Cook it for 8-9 hours and refrigerate for the next day. Add honey and fruit or Polaners All Fruit Strawberry Jam and you've got some great tasting yogurt....without the huge price, you control the sugar and there is no food coloring. My kids love it so much they have a hard time eating other yogurt now!

Daninos are fine. My daughter eats them and they have less sugar and are portioned for little ones.

Unfortunately, Wal-mart stopped carrying this about a year ago. My son is 2 1/2 and this is his main food. He won't eat table food. I do make special stops for it. I don't have a choice. Can you maybe go for his yogurt on a different day if he won't eat another kid (I know my son won't).

We eat any of the yogurts they have that are for kids, they almost contain DHA and stuff. They come in many flavors, Dora has Banana/Strawberry and Strawberry, Diego has Peach/Strawberry Vanilla, Trix is gross and the kids won't eat it, even frozen.

I wouldn't go for anything other than yo baby or horizon. Your son doesn't need the additives that are in the other yogurts. Read the label and make sure there is no artifical sweetener or to much sugar it in if you have to stray away from those.
