I looked for a light for my toddler because when he was ready to be out of bed, he thought everyone should be too. My Tot Clock changes from blue (night) to yellow (day) at a preset time. It also has a wake up song if you want it. For gradual, I know that iHomes have a gradual wake up. I looked at a lot of the tot-type clocks when I settled on the one I did, and many didn't have great reviews. I'm very happy with the one we selected.

Sorry I can't recommend a light , but what I do is just turn on the hall light and open their doors when I get up. I walk in their rooms and tell them it's about time to get up. They usually get up with 5-10 mins.

Like Amanda, I haven't used a special light but I have done what is called "pre-waking" and it has worked!
While he is still asleep, go into his room and open the blinds gently, then turn on a small lamp. Wait 10-15 minutes, then wake him up. Good luck!
