Vtech or Fisher Price Camera

We bought the Fisher Price camera for our 5 year old son because it was at an excellent price and he was always messing around with my camera. The photos do not print out that well and I'm glad we only spent around $25 for it because he lost interest in it in a matter of days. There was a Diego/Dora model that got better reviews though (they were sold out in December at Toys R Us).

We have a Vtech and love it. I do not print out the pictures. My son just loves to take the pictures and then look at them. He is very tough with it, and it has held up well! It also has a lot of good features as well.

I was told by a friend who did a lot of research that the Vtech is the best and most durable, especially for a boy. We received a Vtech camera for Christmas last year and still haven't opened it. But it does look very sturdy and most Vtech toys are very good.

I would go for the Vtech, that is what I bought my daughter and I have been very happy with it, it comes with more features than the Fisher price one and it is more durable, I have had many people tell me that the fisher price ones to do last long, they will break when they are dropped and the VTech has not and my daughter has dropped it a few times.

Vtech all the way........we have it and she loves it.

The Vtech has a games section also, you can out funny frames around the picture...also plugs into the tv so they can see there pictures if you dont want to print or download them!

we have the v tech camera and my son loves it, not only does it take pictures but you can play games and use it as a video camera

We have the Vtech it is 1.3 MP - not sure if FP is better. You have to unscrew it to replace batteries and take out the SD card (not included). If the FP has this one too - make sure you buy a large memory card (we have a 2GB that cost < $20). My son loves it, the pictures aren't great but that's not really the point for this kids toy. He loves the video and game features.

The Vtech is gender neutral whereas the FP has boy/girl colors. I honestly don't remember why we went for the Vtech and if it even mattered.
