Is there a shampoo you use that you think gives your hair more volume? I am tempted to try the new one by Pantene, but I am not sure any of these shampoos really do anything different than the next. Suggestions?

What can I do next?

I have been a fan for YEARS of the original Pantene Volumizing shampoo. It's wonderful and I can really tell a difference. I like the Suave volumizing as well.

I am in love with the Nature's Gate brand volumizing shampoo. You'll find it in the natural foods section of your grocery store. I have very fine hair that gets flat and oily very easily. I also highlight my hair so, although my roots maybe oily, my ends are always very dry. The Nature's Gate shampoo (and conditioner) is the only one that seems to have balanced out my hair and scalp, makes my hair shiny without weighing it down and gives my hair a lot of body all day. And, best of all, it's not expensive. I think it was less than $8 for a big bottle at our local grocery store.

Hope this helps.

My stylist always says that it is not the shampoo that give volume as much as it is the styling products. Ask your stylist what would work best for your hair.
Good luck.

Try going without conditioner and see what that does for you. I used to use Infusium 23 spray on conditioner quite a while back, I don't even know if it exists anymore!.....But really, it seems that many conditioners weigh my hair down. Maybe thats whats going on with you?

Shampoo can help but if you really want to get volume us a volumizing shampoo then spray some root booster in your hair right at the roots before blowing it dry. Then blow dry your hair upside down. Your hair will have lots more volume that way.

I loved the Amplify Volumizing line by Matix, the same company that makes Biolage. I thought it was wonderful. A little bit more expensive than other brands but a little goes a long way.

I always thought shampoos were about the same, but with 2 daughters who have been through cosmetology school, I learned a few things! I do spend more on my shampoo initially, but in the long run, because I use less it costs me about the same ~ I like Biologe products as they work well for my hair and definitely a lot of the volume is going to come from the product, not the shampoo!

Try Tigi/Catwalk "Sexed Up" volumizing shampoo. I also agree that conditioners seem to weigh mine down; I can not use them in the summer, but need them in the winter no matter what to minimize static. Root boosters work great too!

Yes, volumizing shampoos do make a difference. The one by Pantene is good.
