Vet Reccomendation

We've used Old Orchard Animal Clinic (Dr. Gus Kirby) in Lewisville for 25 years. He is somewhat reserved, but very, very, very caring of the animals and his office staff are efficient and cordial. His prices have always been extremely reasonable and I've brought in pets that needed regular treatment (e.g., fluids for kidney failure) and not been charged for some of the office visits. He isn't as modern as some vets but he will always do anything and everything he can to help your pet.

Dr Shaffer at Flower Mound Veterinary Hospital. The office isn't much to look at, but they really care.

Double Oak Vet on 407. The doctors and staff are great. They really love the animals! I was going to Highland Village Animal and my dog hurt his back leg and I called on a Saturday and they told me the first they could see him was Monday at 2pm!! I called Double Oak and they told me to bring him in right away and they would fit him in. For meds and the appt it was less than $100. I thought for sure there would be a fee for not going there and being an "emergency" visit, but no. I changed to them immediately and love it!! Phone number is ###-###-####.

Dr. Clawson at All Care Vet in Coppell. Ask for him by name. He is great and an Aggie which means a lot to an old ag like me.

Dr. Brian Gray at Timber Valley Pet Hospital (on 121 in Lewisville, next to the Whataburger). Very easy to talk to. Reasonable prices. Excellent with our animals. As a previous poster mentioned, we've also had emergency issues that he hasn't charged us for.

Another recommendation for Dr. Shaffer at Flower Mound Veterinary Hospital. The office is not very nice, but the people that work there are amazing. We love Dr. Shaffer. He always offers great advice and is very supportive. If you ever have to go through an injury or illness with your pet, he is the kind of vet you want caring for your pet. My cat had lymphoma, and he was so supportive and really walked us through what treatment options were practical and helped us decide when it was time to let go. It was a very difficult time, but he made it so much easier on all of us.
