Very Super Faint Line on Pregnancy Test

Definitely sounds like a very early positive to me!! :) I'd try another test in a few days (though I'm sure you won't be able to help yourself and will test every day until absolutely positive - we all do!) Good luck - will hope for the best for you!

Test again in a week or so...you could be pregnant, but there might not be enough hormone to make it a strong positive right now. If you are pregnant, the hormone levels should start to increase. If you are still in doubt, get a blood test at your doctor's.

They say that any line is a positive, no matter how faint. You can always go to the doc and get the blood test.

HCG levels vary early on in pregnancy especially if you're irregular. If there is a second line (no matter how faint) it's positive. The line will get darker each day, so I would wait 2 or 3 days and take another one. I use the digitals myself.

Sounds like my first pregnancy test with my first son. I waited a couple of days to take another test which came back more positive. But to make sure I had a blood test done lol I would say it is a positive, but I know when you're ttc, sometimes your eyes play tricks on you. Definitely need to take another test, but I am very optimistic :D

Even a very faint line is still a second line! Test again in a few days to be sure, but in my opinion it's an early positive :) I had a friend whose pregnancy tests were only coming up with very, very super faint second lines and she assumed they were negative. Turns out she was indeed prego! Don't get too excited yet though, just in case! Good luck :)

Try another tomorrow morning - first thing. Morning urine is more "concentrated" - fingers crossed!!

i would say go to the doctor and insist on a blood test. i have had a faint line on a pregnancy test twice: First time, it turned out i was pregnant, and gave birth to my wonderful son; the second time, my period was 10 days late ( i also had irregular periods) so i took the test, i had a faint line. i went to the doctor, and they did a urine test and a blood test, both were negative. i was not pregnant, and i started my period a few days later. And no, i didnt have any sort of miscarriage, the doctor said she thought i just had one of those one-in-a-million tests that gave a false positive. (i brought the test with me so show her) so the only way to know for sure is to go to the doctor, or wait another week and test again.

My best friend came and told me she was pregnant, I got all my maternity clothes for her and she decided what she wanted. Since flying an extra suitcase is so expensive we decided I would mail the clothes, I thought I should test before I sent them, since we hadn't actively tried to prevent pregnancy. I had the faintest line my husband made fun of me, well jokes on him...I'm due Dec. 16th.

The lines are a reaction of protein in your urine that attaches to a receptor in the test. If you're newly pregnant you don't have as much protein, if you can see the line, I'll go 99% your pregnant, if it makes you feel better, test again in a few days. Also, I used dollar tree $1 tests, I had in a previous pregnancy tested with one of those and then clear blue easy and EPT. I bought double packs of both and 2 dollar tree tests. I got a + with the dollar store and nothing on the other 2. I tested again in about 3 days, and got 2 +s and I think it was EPT that was still negative, so some test are more sensitive, but I'll only use $1 test from now on.

I too took a test and had a very very faint almost not there line and I was indeed pregnant. Conratulations and I wish you the best!!

I would say YES !!!! Five to term pregnancies and never sick, sore breasts in the beginning, and even a period in the first month. No one is ever the same. A trip to the Doc might be warrented.

It's best to take the pregnancy test first thing in the morning. Your HCG levels are most likely to show up at this time.....first pee of the day.....I had a test show up very faintly when I did an afternoon test. The next morning I did a test first thing and it showed up bright and clear I was in fact preggers! :)

If there really is a faint line, even a faint line means positive. Go and get another test, just to be sure!

yep, a faint line is a yes. That's how it was for us, 4 times!

Test again in the morning, but make sure it is using your first urine of the day, as it would have the greatest concentration of HCG in it.

I personally just prefer those tests that tells me blatantly "pregnant" or "not pregnant"...you may want to test again to be double sure!

Faint positives are stll positive. Congratulations. I would take another one in the morning with mornings first urine. That should come up a bit more positive.

take another test today. A faint line is still a positve, but take another one today or tomorrow anyway.

It could of been a defective test - I would take another one or go to your doctor to get a more accurate test done (like a blood test). Good luck!

IMO, congratulations are in order! Seven and a half years ago I had a faint, faint line on my test--you can ask my second grader all about it! :-)

a line is a line is a line. With my daughter my husband and I stared at that stick for a long time, and kept checking it just to make sure that very faint line was still there. You can recheck in the morning or get a different kind of test but from what i have experienced i'd say congrats momma.

7 tests later (yes, seven - thank god I bought the cheap ones at www.saveontests.com) we still had a very faint line and I was still pregnant. My wonderful husband decided to use a "control" test and ran the pregnancy test under a stream of water to compare to the faint line that appeared when I ran it under a stream of urine. There was NO line on the "control" test.
I truly hope that the miracle has happend for you. 16 months is a long time and I am sure it has been very trying for you. My fingers are crossed that it is a positive test!
