VBAC Anyone?
Ok, I have had 2 C-section births - the first one was emergency and the second one was planned. My doctor will not do a v-bac for insurance reasons and told me that no doctor in OK will do them. I am just wondering if anyone else has had a VBAC or know of a doctor that will do VBAC? WE are planning on getting pregnant this year w/#3 and would like the experience of normal childbirth...I am not sure I even want to have a 3rd c-section. ? ANy advice?

T.,
I am in the same boat as you, but unfortunately I was told that a VBAC was not an option after a 2nd section. I would check with a nurse midwife, but honestly from a medical perception (I'm an RN)I don't believe that many docs or midwives would take on that task. I know the feelings of inadequacy about not being about to do what is natural in giving birth, but in my own mommy opinion....go with a section again. Its easily planned and over with before you know it. No anticipation of when the water is going to break. Good luck, keep me up to date.

OU medical center is the only hospital that allows VBACs. I'm not sure about vba2c. But I'd start there...

If you are interested in normal childbirth, I would seek out a midwife. The midwives at Heaven Sent Birth (heavensentbirth.com) are AMAZING! I hope you are able to have the birth experience you desire! Best wishes to you!

I want to try for a vbac also and the only place I've found that will do them is OU Medical Center. They have nurse/midwives on staff. When you try to vbac you will have the comfort of having actual doctors and OR ready in case any problems come up. The number to the nurse/midwives is ###-###-####. Good luck!
