Underwear for Infants

My 16 month old daughter is potty training. She tells me when she needs to pee, which is like 15 times a day (and she actually goes most of those times and it's not an exaggeration, and it gets to be a pain to take her diaper off and put it back on every time she goes. I was wondering if anyone knows of any infant underwear that she could wear. I've only seen 2T and above and my daughter is tiny...she's not even 18 lbs yet so she needs some tiny underwear. I've tried to search online but haven't had too much luck. If anyone knows of any places or companies that make them, please let me know. Thank you so much

The 2Ts at walmart are TINY! my son didnt start on underwear until 2 and half and he was still in 24 month size pants but the 2t underwear ran really really small so I would try that.

I would suggest since she is still only 18 months to get cloth trainers. They look just like underwear but have a hidden layer of a waterproof fabric so that if she has an accident, it wont go everywhere and she can still feel it like real underwear does.
I would suggest Diapeze. She can make them to whatever size you need. My son is the opposite and I needed bigger. So I gave her his measurements and poof! perfectly fit underwear.
diapeze.com or search for her on Facebook which is were you can pick out the fabric you want from her stock, or you can send her some of your own and she'll make it.
:D love the quality and the price!

Hanna Andersson and Gymboree both have 18mo size that are pretty small. My boys were both out of diapers early, but my youngest needed underwear at 15mos old, and theo nly ones we found were the Hanna's or Gymboree 18mo size.

Also, look online at etsy.com, lots of sellers make childrens underwear and will size them any size you need.

My DD is small and she wears the Gerber 2T trainers with the thick crotch. My problem is I also bought 2T rubber pants and they are enormous on her.

My daughter was also 2 and tiny when she potty trained. We bought the Hanna Andersson underwear XS. They were perfect. They were more expensive. However, as crazy as this sounds, she is now 5 and still wearing them! She has grown since we frist purchased them, but her bum is still so tiny. No holes, no wear and tear, elastic not overstretched. These are seriously good unders!

I thought pull-ups came in smaller sizes...

i know the OLD FASHIONED undies came small but I don't even know if you can get those anymore!! YIKES!!!

At 16 months she wants to potty train?! YOU GO!!! My daughter was 3 before she even started giving it a try and 5 before she didn't have accidents anymore!!

the only thing that I can think of is pull ups since she is so tiny. that is awesome that she is getting potty trained already. Does she go poop on the potty yet? Good luck

If you have an H&M with a children's department near you, they make underwear as little as 86-92, which if I remember correctly is about 12-18 months old.
Good luck!

Fruit of the Loom makes the smallest 2T that I've found. Same problem here. My daughter has a tiny butt, smaller waist-line. She still doesn't fill them out at 2 1/2. The boy almost fit better since they have better elastic. I was ready to look into doll underwear or make/modify 2T, but then life happened :)

Try Hanna Andersson. Pricey but I think the sizing goes down to XS which they say is 1-3 years (20 - 30 lbs). I bet if it's too big and you wash it in hot water and dry it in the dryer you should be fine. Good luck.

carters and childrens place and gerber shrink pretty easily. we PT at 2 (shes now 3)and she was maybe 20lbs but more likely 19 and we bought the childrens place and the gerber 2T and she wore them for a full year . recently we bought a carters 2t-3t and they are way too tiny so those may be a good option too!
