Ok - a little embarrassing - I rarely used to get underarm sweat. Since having my baby (nearly a year ago) I tend to perspire much more. I use Secret, but wondering if there is a better brand to help this problem, or any other suggestions that may help my wet pits!!!!! Thanks so much!!!!!!!!

I've had that same issue since I had my son. I started using Degree for women and have had no problems since. It's nice and fresh smelling and really helps with the perspiration.

I actually have the reverse problem. I used to have a severe sweating problem before my baby and now it has subsided some. I have used the Secret Clinical strength and it is awesome. It is expensive-I think it is like $7 for a a stick that is smaller than usual but it works 100 times better than anything else I've used.

Same problem here. THough it seemed as I change brands, they would work for awhile and I have to switch again.

But I use the Secret Clinical Stength now. I know they have it at Target. It's more expensive but it works!

M.,

I sweat under my arms, too. I hate it!! I use mens anti-perspirant/deodorant as it works the best. I use Right Guard Extreme w/the power stripe. They have scents that aren't "masculine" but very fresh, clean.

Since I'm now breastfeeding, it's even worse so I brought an extra to work for a freshen up (if needed).

I am now using the Secret Clinical strength and it works great!! It's like 8 bucks at Target but well worth it for me. I used is this summer when I was prego, and tried to go back to my Dove, but I have found that it doesnt work as good as the Secret.

I went through the same problem too! It does suck! I stopped wearing grey t shirts and only picked colors you wouldn't be able to see wetness on!! I ended up buying "Certain- Dri" and it did help. You put it on at night before bed. I believe I bought it at the grocery store (Jewel, Dominick's)So they may still sell it...
Good Luck!!

My sister's dr recommended Certain-Dri too. For a while, the local drug store kept it behind the counter & she'd have to ask for it.
I have problems with the scent of deodorants reacting with my body. For years I'd switch every couple of months b/c I'd get a weird chemically smell after a while. I found that apple scented deodorants are the only ones that don't make the funny smell.
I saw the botox injections done on Dr 90210 the other day! It worked great!

Hi M.-

I don't know if you would ever consider this, but I get Botox injections in the underarm area and it has been almost a year and no sweat!!! It's completely safe and it affects the area just under the surface so it doesn't need to penetrate deep into your skin. I went to a skincare/nurse specialist, but you can go to a dermatologist or doctor that provides the service. I found that there was NO deodarant that worked for me. And my nurse told me it is WAY more common in women than we think...we just all must do a good job of hiding it and not telling anyone about it :)

Hope this helps!

M.,

My husband has had problems with excessive underarm sweat since long before we ever meet. In fact, he would get stains on his shirts from deorderant build-up (recently found that I was able to get the stains out - even after a year or more of build up! - with Oxyclean Versitile) and the wetness. He started using Certain Dri and only has to use it every 3rd day!! He doesn't persipire at all any more - at least not under his arms! I even ended up switching so that I don't have to worry about getting deordorant on my cloths when I get dressed. It does have the aluminum in it that has been linked to breast cancer though. Also, there is an Certain Dri AM, but it is just a fragrance, you don't need it. You can buy Certain Dri at Wal-Mart.

Best wishes!
K.

I have the same problem. My right arm pit is worse than the left. My doctor gave me a prescription for it and it worked great. The downside was that it had a high dose of Aluminum in it and that can be a cause of breast cancer so I stopped using it. Degree has worked OK but I will try some of the tips here like the mens deoderante. I got something in the mail the other day (free sample) of the Secret Clinical Strength, you are suppose to use it at night (that is how my prescription worked, but this one does not have as much aluminum in it). I have not yet tried it but plan on it soon.(eddited to add....that I have been using it and its awesome.....I only do it every couple days, I actually barely have a sweat mark after doing 45 minutes of Cardio!!)

Why do companies think that women dont sweat as badly as men!!!

My daughter has the same problem but only one arm pit. Which looks very strange when one side is very wet but not her other arm pit. We tried the new Secret Clinical, but it did not help at all. Her doctor prescribed Hypercare that has helped some. It does contain aluminum chloride but from everything I have read there is no proven link between aluminum and cancer. I would talk to your doctor and see what they suggest. Also check the ingrediants on the men's deodorant. If I remember right the men's deodorant is the same as the Secret Clinical but alot cheaper. Good Luck!

Arrid Xtra Dry works the best for me. Make sure you are buying an antiperspirant and NOT just a deodorant.

Ok I can't remember the brand. I believe secret makes it. But its that new clinical one. It is a bit pricey though. I think about 7.50 but I think it is really worth it. I have the same problem and this seems to be the only one that helps.

Hi M.,
I can't offer too much advice because I don't get much sweat. But, I have been using Dove for the past 3 years, and it has worked great for me. I don't ever get sweat. I can't guarantee that it is the deodorant, but I wanted to share my opinion with you.

Mitchum cream deoderant will help your problem. Walgreen's is the best place to find it. It is fairly expensive - $4.99 or so, but it is really worth it.

Good Luck!

Secret came out with "prescription" strength deodorant. I can't remember the market slogan for it but I am sure you can find it online/in stores. It's a little more expensive than regular Secret but might help. A friend of mine bought it and said it works pretty well.

Daughter uses Certain Dri. It is the best. We get it at a Wal-Mart Supercenter.
