I like Brielle. I think it's elegant and classy. Cameron is pretty popular. You could call her Elle or Bri for short. My son's name is super popular (Aidan) and my daughter is not (Kyah pronounced like Mya with a K). I know a little girl with the name Cameron and to be honest it sounds more boyish to me.

My own experience tells me being pregnant affects how we pick baby names. (I said ok to my husband's choice, didn't give it much thought while I was pregnant.) Cameron is ok but Brielle sounds pretentious and made up. I hope I'm not offending you; I'm just giving an honest opinion. Whatever happened to "regular" names...Amy, Jessica, Emily, etc.....now those would be "original" and sound really beautiful.

What about Ella? Or Gabrielle? Classic and elegant.

Good luck, Be safe and have a wonderful delivery.

Having narrowed down the choices to 2 names, you could always wait until she arrives and see which one suits her best. Brielle seems more feminine. Both are nice, but if i had to choose, i like Brielle.

One of my favorite people in the whole world is a Brielle. It is a beautiful, and beautifilly uncommon, name. Cameron is lovely, too, but I have a special place in my heart for the name Brielle. Good luck to you!

Why not both together first/middle name?
Problem solved. :)
Cameron Brielle

I think that either name is beautiful. My husband and I had our first baby in February of this year and couldn't decide on the name until we actually saw her.

Maybe it will come to you then.

Also, I like both nicknames that both names present... Cam, Bri or Elle.. if you don't like one of the nicknames maybe that can help you with your decision?

Also, I had to look up Brielle.. (here is what it means although you probably already know!):

Meaning: Its source is Gavriela, a Hebrew name meaning "Hero of God."

Nickname For: Gabrielle

Popularity: The name Brielle ranked 670th in popularity for females of all ages in a sample of 2000-2003 Social Security Administration statistics.

Good luck & Congratulations!

Cameron is a very cool girl's name! I have to admit, though- Brielle has wonderful nickname potential. I think Bri and Elle (or Ella) are gorgeous...

Not very helpful, huh? :) They are both lovely!

I say Brielle, only because I know 2 Cameron's who are boys. What about Camille? that kind of combines the 2?
Best wishes...our dd's birthday is Feb 22nd...!

Dear B.,

I love the name Cameron. I have a little girl in my daycare who is now four and I have cared for since infancy. She is such a special little girl, sweet, smart, and funny. Not that Brielle is not also a pretty name. For some reason I associate names with people and the Cameron I know is a sweetheart. Congratulations on your fourth WOW!!! you are blessed. Good luck and Happy Holidays!!

Brielle - not as popular as the other and very pretty. Cameron is pretty common now for both boys & girls.
