Umbrella Stroller with Good Canopy

I always get great product feedback here so I'm asking for some help once again. I am looking for an umbrella stroller with a really good canopy. I live in central Florida and need something that will give my daughter enough shade to keep her comfortable. We go to Disney at least twice a month and our current stroller is hard to breakdown and get on the tram quickly with a 2 year old. I am currently using the stroller from her travel system (Chico Cortina). The sun canopy is awesome but the stroller is so heavy and i can't hold her on the tram and keep the stroller from flying out at the same time. I'm looking for something lightweight that folds up quickly, a basket underneath for a lunchbox and maybe a cup holder. The most important thing is the canopy! Thanks for any help or recommendations.

What can I do next?

I have a City Mini Baby Jogger and I bought it specifically for the canopy. The canopy really gives great coverage from the Florida sun. It folds really easily, too. I have taken it to Disney twice now and it made my life so much easier. It was very easy to get on and off the tram and it has a basket underneath. It also moves really well - I use one hand to steer it :)

My "Disney" stroller is the the baby jogger city mini - don't get a better canopy than that and the fold is one step, quick, and one handed. It's also a fairly lightweight stroller. It doesn't come with a cup holder, but the generic ones attach to it. I opted to get the parent console that baby jogger makes and really like it.

Hello!
We have several strollers. The Joovy Kooper is my fave single light weight umbrella stroller. Here is a link. We have it in black. The canopy is huge & so is the storage bin underneath. I have a huge back pack diaper bag & it fits under. It has 2 cup holders for you, as well as a zipper storage pocket. Anyway, I really like it.
It might be more than you are wanting to spend. We are Disney people too, & you need something that is going to hold up.

We have been VERY pleased with our base model Maclaren (Volo) from Target, which cost about $100. But the new model of the Techno XT looks absolutely amazing! I don't have any experience with that particular model, but I will say that our Maclaren is practically a God-send. So if you can manage to swallow the price tag, I'm certain you won't regret it. I had a bit of sticker shock when I started looking at the Maclarens, but you can't think of it as an "umbrella stroller". They are serious strollers that will last forever. My daughter is turning 3 and we've been using her Volo since she was about 6 months old. It's still in like-new shape and has held up much better than her travel system, "full size" stroller that we only used for a year or two. Mine came with a shoulder strap, which I didn't see in the YouTube video referenced below, but I'm sure you could get one. Maclaren makes a whole line of accessories to go with their strollers. And I know for certain one of them has a cupholder attachement. Good luck with the shopping!

get a maclaren it will be the last umbrella stroller you ever buy plus it comes w/ a rain guard, it has a small basket and also reclines and holds up to 55 lbs.

We have the same chico travel system and yeah i agree it's hard to get on and off the tram especially if there is just one of you! We also got just a little red umbrella stroller from Babies-r-Us - $20. It great and light and easy - i will say though that having both - i still prefer to take the chico to disney no matter how big it is cause of all the "stuff" i general we take with us (i don't like to carry the diaper bag or my purse...) with the umbrella stroller there's no storage... so it's up to you which is the better trade off :oD

Jeep umbrella strollers are great! They have a canopy that rotates like your Chico! They don't have a basket underneath, but you can by snap on accesories to provide storage. I have had both the single and the double umbrella and they are extremely durable!!!!

I went with the Jeep Cherokee Sport lightweight stroller. Its absolutely the best. It has the extreme light weight of a umbrella stroller with the best of the the full size stroller. Goes anywhere easily (airports, zoo, grass) and folds up like a breeze. Plus the handles are higher than the umbrella stroller so it doesn't hurt backs and i am only 5'2. Easy underneath storage and cupholders for free hands. Bonus when you fold it up it pushes the seat up so any crumbs get out of the stroller. Also, the back reclines with a adjustable strap so kids can nap. I wish i had this for my first. My second and last is 13months and loves it. Especially the tray in front so she can always have a snack or juice. It can be found in Walmart, Kmart, BabysRus, Toysrus. It was easy to put together too. I am not mechanically inclined and usually mess up the directions but this just snap together easily. Even my 4yr can get in it. Its weighted up to 35 lbs.
