Dear Moms,
Have anyone evey had a tummy tuck lipo? I have 2 girls age 7year and 4 years old.. I am short 5 feet 1.. I gained 60lbs with each pregnancy yikes.. but lost the weight.. One daughter was almost 22 inches long at birth.. I have no torso lol.. so I have alot of extra skin and strech marks and a roll from the c-section area.. I work out 5 to 6 days a week.. I am a modist mom and wear yoga pants and jeans that is my style.. looking to feel better about myself in clothes ect. I also have strech marks on my upper arms and loose sking.. anyone had lipo on that area? I think that that is what they might do.. I have worked with a trainer to lift weights and strength core.. but these areas are so steched out. any information would be helpful in regards to procuders happy with results and recovery? I have PCOS and while pregnant went off meds and when I am not pregnant I take meds and this helps me control my weight. I live in seattle area any recomendation of place to look at? I have been thinking about this for 5 years.
Thank you,
L.

I had two children. I'm a bit over 5'3". I was a perfect weight. I gained 50 lbs with my first. 15 lbs of it were gone when my water broke. :-) Second child was smaller and I gained about 35-40? Still had an hour glass figure and skin was rather tight. Then boom, at about 45, the skin just sagged there. At 59 I got a tummy tuck. Wish I could have afforded it when it appeared. (You don't want to do this until you're through having children.)

They have limits on the number of pounds they can take off you at one time. You DO need help at home. Like a C section, it takes time to not feel the pain when you sit up, etc. I thankfully had an adjustable bed. Best investment ever.

I asked about my arms since age and gravity and a weight gain made them loose. They didn't think that lipo would help at my age because well the skin just doesn't shrink back up. They woud have had to do a long cut and sew job with scars. No thank you. Muscle toning helped arms but only to a point. Lipo helped hips, thighs, and love handles. Love handle lipo aches in recovery. Ooooh.

I lost 20 lbs recently, partly from a hospitalization where I was practically on an ice chip diet for days. Now I have more lose skin below the waist but not bad. The muscle tightening underneath helps me stay hour glassy -- until I sit down. Good enough for me at this age.

I have no recommendations, and haven't had a tummy tuck, but am sooo happy to hear of others that gained so much weight while pregnant! I gained 48 with my first, and am at 51 with 3 weeks to go with my second. I keep hearing everyone say how scared they are they they have gained 25 (gasp!) pounds and are only at week 35! LOL! Then there are those that only gain like 16 for the entire pregnancy!! I am only 5'2", so I feel your pain! Good luck with whatever you decide to do, and thank you for my smile today.

I had a tummy tuck about 2 1/2 years ago. I am very happy with the results. I gained about 50 pounds with each child, so I had a lot of extra skin when I lost all the weight. I don't live in Seattle so I do not have a recommendation for a place or doctor. I found my doctor on the Internet and did not have to pay for a consultation.

I'm very happy you put this question up. I am also considering it. I have one child and gained about 55 pounds from him and 20 of them are still hanging around (LOL). I am active and exercise but nothing seems to aid the stretch marks and loose skin. This makes me feel a lot more positive about getting the tummy tuck. I also was wondering should you wait until you are finished having children because I am not done yet but I am done with carrying around extra saggy skin! ;~)
