Tummy Trouble...

Ok my lil boy will be turning 7 months on nov. 7th and here lately (about a week or two) it seems that his tummy is bothering him... We thought it was his juice because our babysitter said that after he drank it he would get a little fussy and uncomfortable... So i stopped giving it to him, then when we give him veggies he seems to get constipated, so we are only doing fruits for now. But at night he drinks his bottle and falls asleep and no matter how long i try to burp him-- he wont! And mostly at night i hear his little tummy making rumbling sounds... I dont know whats going on in there... He is not all fussy all the time but when he is, it seems to be his tummy... Any suggestions? Anyone ever experience anything like this? He is also on special formula due to cow & soy milk allergies... Thanks!

What can I do next?

I was convinced that I had the gassiest child ever born! I did gripe water, position changes, lordie I can't even remember all that I did. At the end of the day, she just worked it out for herself. After her meal, I would Put her feet at the bottom of the cradle, for I found that she would push off with her feet and pass gas easier. Talk to your Pedi and make sure there is no reflux etc...going on. Otherwise, we did the "footboard" thing, lay her on her left side, and proped the head of the craddle up. Still do try to burp.
Best wishes and I hope you get lots of great advice!

At six months I thought you didnt have to burp them any more they do it on there own. Our son was constipated alot and we took him to the pedi and he put him on some meds. Before that if he was constipated we were giving him light karo syurp. But I did later read that babies might have a hard time processing the bacteria found in honey and corn suryp. which is the karo. So be careful with your little one that seems to be sensitive if he is on soy milk alredy. Hope he gets to feeling better soon. Sorry he is having a hard time. We dont give our son juice yet. he is 9 1/2 months old. Also try sweet potatoes and apple sauce for foods. Prunes work wonders too and they arent bad. I like the taste of the Beech Nut brand over Gerber and my son seems to also.

My 7 month old has had tummy problems latley as well. My docto said to stay away from fruits will she still has diaria.....he did say that banannas were okay.

My girlbwas just gassy. Try little tummies or mylecon brand simethicone drops. They disolve the gas and is not absorbed into the bloodstream. Little tummies worked better for one of my kids, mylecon for the other so try both ( not at the same time). For the constipation pear juice works better than prune for us! Good luck. oh, stand up and bounce him while patting between shoulder blades. Give some heavier pats too good solid flat handed pats.

could it be his ears possibly? I think if I remember correctly my sons tummy seemed to hurt him, he kept grunting like he had gas or something turns out it was his ears cause all the fluid drains n sometimes goes into their tummy. I also think at his age he could let out air if he didn't to without being burped not that I am saying it's bad to burp him.

Have you tried giving him mylicon? That seems to help most babies. And if you have to, wake him up to get him to burp. I know it sounds mean to do but if that helps his belly it's worth it.

Give him goats milk - the probiotics in the milk will help w/the digestive problems. Since he's only 7 months old, limit his "real food" to little soft foods like cherrios, rice bran, applesauce and pears. Give plenty of diluted juices inbetween formula.
