Tubal Reversal - Richmond, VA

I have the exact question. I have three kids and would love to have another one with my soon to be husband but i had my tubes tied and the only place i have found wants like 7,000 dollars. If u get any good information please let me know at ____@____.com

My mother actually works for a fertility center and she has told me that the only way to have babies again after a tubal ligation is through In-Vitro fertilization. There really is no way to actually reverse the procedure, and it is very expensive but they do have payment options and most insurances cover some of that cost. I don't think insurance normally covers reversal of tubal ligation.

I had a tubal reverse in 2000 and unfortunately my resulted in a Tubal Pregnancy which is a chance you will have to take by having that procedure done. At the time I had Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance and they covered the procedure. I am located in Virginia and the procedure was done by a doctor located in Annandale VA at his office. I am not sure of your location but I would talk to a fertility doctor that is how I found him and also check the website. God Bless you and I truly wish you the best.

Hi! The only place I've heard of is North Carolina somewhere. And it's 1 doctor with a surgical center and you have to make your own arrangements for hotel stays. But, there's a website reversemytubes.com but, there is another dr in Chapel Hill. His web site is tubal-reversal.net. I just had my tubes tided after having #4. There are days I ask myself what if... so if you get it done please update.

Amen Sister! Nothing is too hard for our l-rd and savior. My families motto is "If it's meant to be, it's meant to be, if not there's something bigger and better out there" I have five beautiful children and I'm so blessed to have them. I won't go to someone that is too cheap to do a procedure like this. When it comes to internal organs, I don't mess around. I would suggest contacting an OB/GYN and tell them that your interested in a reversal and see if they can code your insurance to make the tubal reversal due to a medical reason. My other suggestion would be contact a tubal center outside of maryland and see what they have to offer, payment plans etc.

Congrats on your decision. I know that God will honor your faithfulness. I would find a Dr. that you trust to do a great job. Someone that is supportive of your decision. I am sure there are doctors that will think you have lost your mind since you already have 4 children. A great doctor will usually work with you to make financial arrangements that you can live with.

I had this procedure done at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. It also depends on how much tube you have left as to whether it will be successful. I had gotten my tubes tied after my second child and then I married again and he wanted a child so that is when I got the reversal. I didn't have any problems and my daughter is now 13 years old. When my doctor went in to remove several small cyst he did the tubal reversal so it was all covered. I guest it depends on the way he wrote the surgery up.

I have nothing to say about the insurance & tubal reversal, but I had to say, WONDERFUL! You are right that God can do all things! I believe that it's possible for God to untie your tubes, even without doctors. He's done things like that before. I am happy that you have faith in God, and know that you are doing the right thing! I have never had my tubes tied, since I feared feeling the way you do, but I did have an IUD at one time. I felt that God wanted it removed, and wanted us to have more children. After I removed it, 1 week later I was pregnant. God knows your heart, and I know He will make a way for you to get this done. Good luck with everything, and may God bless you & your family!

About 13 years ago I started a on-line support list for people seeking reversals. There are actually Dr's who will do this surgery for less as a ministry. You will be surprised how many women do this when they are in their 20's only to regret it later. Also the Dr's don't tell you about the side effects you can have from a tubal.
