Are they waking up dry? What do they wear during the day? Don't give in! Put underpants on them at night and nothing to drink after 6 p.m. After a couple of "accidents" in real underpants they will get the idea. It doesn't feel good. I know it is a pain for you though, but it will work.

I wish you the best of luck J., this is a tough situation (and exhuasting one) to be in, especially with a little one on the way!

I was lucky- my daughter from the day she was potty trained did has not had one accident yet.

My son- different story all together! He wore pull ups for a long time at night... the key we found with him was absolutely no liquids within one to two hours of going to bed (unless of course he is sick and needs extra fluids). It is a tough one especially if they are used to drinking at night.

We started our daughter like that from the beginning and now she just knows the routine. If they ask for a drink we allow a small "whistle wetter" (literally one to two sips of milk) in a small cup and that uses calms their requests.

Again, good luck and I hope you find something that works well for you and your family.

I always had them in diapers at night. Potty training is hard at night especially for boys. Thier bladders are smaller and they can potentially wet the bed until age 15. My daughter was easier she used a goodnight brand diaper until she was 4. When the Summer came before her first year of kindergarten, we tried going with out one. I put a absorbent sheet on the bed and she wet the bed only once before she learned to wake up and go. Also limiting thier fluid intake after 6pm and going to the bathroom before bed helps them not to wet. My youngest boy is 5 and still wears goodnights to bed. There is no problem with that, I would rather work on them being dry in the morning before using just underwear instead of completly stripping beds each morning.
Hope it helped.

are they dry at night?? take away the nightly cup of juice/water and nothing after 6pm to drink.. take them shopping for special "nighttime undies" and let them pick them out.. good luck.. my oldest still is in pullups at night because because some kids just can't go all night dry.. so it could be more than stubborness.. talk to your ped about it. but if they are dry all night, there shouldn't be a problem.
