Trying to Conceive - Washington,DC
We went to a doctor on march 23, it was my third day of my menstruation. We were advised that I take Clomid 100 mg for 5 days and premarin 0.625 mcg , 2x a day for 24 days. Since then, I experienced mild abdominal cramps, I feel dizzy at times even when lying down, I have food cravings for something sour, I am sick in the stomach like I have acid going on there and it goes up until the lower end of my throat, I have mild sore breast especially when they are touched. I tested today and the hpt is negative. Could I still be pregnant?

I did not take Clomid but when I was trying to conceive I took 2 home pregnancy tests that said negative, but I just really thought I was pregnant. When I went in for blood work a few days later my levels were only 27 (above 25 is pregnant) so the Dr. assumed I wasn't pregnant or was going to miscarry (again). I am currently 32 weeks pregnant. Sometimes you just start out with low levels :)
Good Luck!!!

I took clomid for about 3 months with no success. I don't recall having any side effects from it though. We also did a couple of IUI's without success. We finally got pregnant on our own. If you aren't pregnant, I would highly recommend getting a fertility monitor. The second time we tried to conceive I used the monitor. We started when my son was 6 months old and were pregnant within 2 months! They make it very easy to know where you are within your cycle and the most optimal time to conceive during the month. There is only a period of 3 maybe 4 days per month that conception is possible. It really is a wonder how any of us managed to get pregnant when you look at the hard science of it all! Good luck!

Too early to test, try later when you expect your next period.

I think it's possible. If the 1st day of your last period was Mar. 20th, it might still be a little early for the test to pick it up. Maybe try again in 3 or 4 days.
Good luck! :)

Talk to your doc about the side effects of the premarin--it's a simulated estrogen.

that is WAY too much CLOMID. ( why the hel@ do these doctors give their female patients unproven prescriptions ??) oh, wait, i know, its the money that they get from the drug companies, never mind. stop taking the drugs, if you want to get pregnant, plan a long hiking trip, buy your maps, pack your hiking clothes, sure enough, you WILL get pregnant, i did

I am going to send you a recipe for Mother's Soup. It works to make a woman conceive. You live in DC so are likely to find a Chinese Herbalist to buy the ingredients from.
This has worked for centuries and on lots of women I know.
Eat the soup midcycle and you will have a child.

Side effects of the Clomid? If your test was negative, you're likely not pregnant. I have heard that is a hefty med so those feelings may all just be the meds.
