I am looking for Toys that are made in America. Does anyone know where to find some if they're any? I don't want to buy something for my son and be worried it has lead in it. He said he was going to ask Santa for a big dragon under the Christmas tree. I would also like to get my Nephew a small toy so he doesn't open a box of all clothes (he's 3). He likes tractors and spiderman. It seems everything I look at is made in China, am I shopping at the wrong stores where should I go. Is anyone else as worried as I am?

What can I do next?

Here's the list of sites from Fox News http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,292056,00.html
Note - from what I saw, there's one or two of these sites that also offer toys made in China, but it will be noted in the product description of the toy. They also listed some American made toys below these websites.

www.ZebulonUSA.com
www.usmadetoys.com

I know there is a little toy store on Scottsdale road that sells nothing but american toys. I know it is in old scottsdale on scottsdale road but can not remember the name of it- I saw it in the paper earlier this year when all the recalls came about. I would try to go down to that area and see if you can find it. Sorry i couldn't provide a name.

I recommend brands like Plan Toys (make great trucks and City sets for boys..) they are made from recycled Rubber Trees in Thailand and use non-toxic dyes to color the toys.
Bruder trucks are made in Germany and are of excellent quality. http://search.store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/nsearch?catalog=ext...
I know that the FA Schwartz site allows you to search toys by their origin. Babycenter has a section dedicated to toys not made in China.,. just Google "toys not made in China" and I am sure you will get many results. It may not be Spiderman or other cheaply made plastic toys one typically finds at Toys-R-Us but there are some really great (and educational) toys out there.
Good luck and happy holidays.

P.S. The Plan Toys Crane Set and city sets are on sale on this site. http://www.utoypia.com/plantoys.php?Name=Plantoys&gcl... I just bought some for my 2 sons.. they love the trucks!
P.S.S. I believe the Scottsdale Toy Store the person below me is referring to is Little Blue Choo-Choo. It is on the north side of Indian School Road just west of Scottsdale Road (across from Fuddruckers).
They sell all sorts of toys.. I don't think they are all not made in China though.. I have seen a few things that I believe are Chinese made.. you just have to do some research. :-) Great toy store though!
