Toy Story 2Nd Birthday Cake/Party

My son will be turning 2 in Feb. and I was looking for someone who made cakes out of their home or a really great local bakery. The theme is going to be Toy Story! My son loves Woody and Buzz but haven't been able to find many local bakeries who can do a Toy Story themed birthday cake. Any neat suggestions for a cake or birthday party ideas? There won't be any young kids except my son, the closest in age will be an eight and nine year old. It's most family and close friends and there should be 25-30 people attending. Thanks!

She is at 22 & Hayes, in the same shopping center as Hamlin Pub. She is in the back corner, her name is Carrie Wolfe. She is incredible and her cakes are very good. You will be amazed when you see her pictures on her website. Just bring her a picture of what you want and she will make it. She is very reasonably priced.

I do cakes for all my kids. I do half sheets but i do hve a pan for a full sheet. I think though you would be ok witha half a sheet. It feeds 30 to 35 people. I use pillsbury or betty crocker cake mix which evers on sale and says super moist. I also use buttermilk wipped frosting from pillsbury i think it is. I go to the cake store and buy all the decorations board and cake box. Depending on when you needed the cake in febuary. I have a daughter who turns 5 in febuary too but at the beginning of the month. I'm in shelby Township.

My neighbor Barb is wonderfully creative and makes beautiful desserts and cakes for all kinds of events. I would give her a call for sure!! She's is passionate about what she does and would make you something spectacular and delicious!

What about ordering one from Costco and adding the toys? I make my son's cakes for his parties, but for our themes, I purchase small toys for the cake so he can use them again later. Works out well and he enjoys it.

Try your local Meijer's. They have a big binder with all the choices for cakes. If you don't see what you're looking for, they're usually pretty good about putting figurines that you bring on to the cake.

Hope the party's fun!

I am not sure if this is too far away for you, but there is a bakery in Berkley that does cakes. I had a golf one made for my hubby...it turned out great. They do lots of themed cakes. Hope this helps.
