Sears replaces their jeans if they wear out before you child out grows them!!!! (Sorry got excited with the !!! - LOL) It's just cool that they guarantee their clothing.

Carhartt, lands end, and ll bean last the longest for my extremely active 9 yr old. We also have good luck with childrens place clothing.

That is soooo frustrating. Some stores have a guarentee that if your kids wear them out before they grow out of them you get another pair, same size, free. I'm not sure which stores in NM do that, look at the weekly circulars or signs in the store. Also look for double knee jeans, I don't remember who carries them it's been a long time since I had to buy little boy jeans. Watch for end of the season clearence sales and pick up a few pair one to two sizes bigger than he is wearing now, at least you're not spending as much. Patching the knees is a good idea, you can also cut them off as shorts.

Mine has had a tougher time ruining regular Levi's eventually they give in but it takes a little longer. I have found that the Target jeans (no the mossimo but the target name) seem to last a bit longer. Good luck mine is 8 and still blowing out the knees of his jeans.

My ADHD son actually OUTGROWS these jeans (that we buy a size too big) and pants. And believe me, he is *tough* on his clothes. Gap lasts for about a year, Old Navy/Target/etc for about 6mo. MiniBoden... 2-3 years.

Lesson I've learned, no matter how expensive a pair of kids jeans are, they're still going to get holes. Save your wallet!! Instead of buying 'tough (aka EXPENSIVE) jeans, buy a few of the same kind of CHEAP jeans. Goodwill stores sell Target brand (CIRCO) jeans for pennies on the dollar, brand new, tags still on. When one pair gets holey, toss them, grab the next pair!! Boys are ruthless!! ;)

My sister had 3 boys and lived at Sears. As long as you exchange for the same size, you can exchange clothes that get holes in them for new ones. Also, what she did was, iron on patches in the inside of the jeans, so that it wasn't so obvious on the outside. Her youngest is 17 now, but when her kids were little, there was also a brand out there that made pants with extra material in the knees. I don't remember the brand, or if they still make them, but it maybe something worth googling.

I was going to post the same thing about Sears and I have 5 boys. They never give me a hard time and the Canyon River Blues ones look 'cool' as they get older

I have a 10 year old that has the same problem. He puts holes in pants faster then we buy them. I will be interested to see the answers here as well.

Buy cool cute knee patches for them.
Then you don't have to throw them away.
Iron on knee patches.

That is what I did for my daughter's jeans.
E-bay has some or any sewing store.

Jeans are jeans. No matter how tough they are, they will tear and get beat up. Especially with active kids.

We get ours from target or Khols because they last longer and if you get them on sale they are a good price. We bought some from Walmart last time and my kids wore throught the knees in no time. The new ones we just bought to replace those were from old navy because they were on sale for $10.00 a pair I hope they will last as long as the ones we get from Target and it was not a wast of money.

I actually bought my daughter several pairs of boys' jeans (Levis) because they are thicker and lasted longer. She did this knee walking thing when she was smaller and they wore down but not out. I think I got them at WalMart.

I hope someone knows what to buy. My 4 3/4 (as he says it) year old has 1 pair left with no holes. I am trying not to buy another pair since it will be 100 degrees before we know it.
