What can I do next?

The one piece pj's that zipped up the front worked well for us (until my son learned how to unzip them!). Anything that can keep his hands out of his pants. I had a friend that used and liked these: www.littlekeepersleeper.com Fortunately our son grew out of his diaper playing phase before I resorted to purchasing something like that! Good luck. I know it is very frustrating ... especially the clean up involved afterward. Boys love to dig in their pants. My pediatrician said that some boys even see their poo as apart of themselves and that's why they enjoy playing with it.

put him in pants that he can't dig into. If possible :S In any case, try a couple of layers. Can you find some big onesies (I assume he's about 2-3?) or even dance leotards that are onesie-like. There's also a stay-tucked device offered by One Step Ahead. It is just for a neat appearance, but I can only imagine it will help keep your little guy from getting to that diaper!

Oh! Of course. Even if you're using disposable diapers, you might benefit from diaper covers. It's just an extra layer for him to deal with. Bum Genius has some really hard-to-remove velcro/aplix tabs. I think they do covers as well as all of the rest. I'm counting on things like this for my daughter, who is starting to like to open up her diaper, too. Yipe.

Good luck!

When our daughter 1st started to take her diaper off (she's a streaker ha) We just would put a pair of big girl panties over her diaper at night before her pajamas. We also used the pajamas that snapped at the waist for a little while too. I know her little stage of taking it off didn't last too long...hopefully yours won't either! :)

I work as a private Nanny and have had a couple of children that would take off the diaper and put the poo on the walls and crib never ate it. One child we kept a onsiee on at all times since he could not unsnap them to get the diaper off the other child we used duct tape on the diaper we just put the diaper on and wrapped the duct tape on starting at the back of the diaper since she could not reach behind her to untape herself.

Good luck.

My son seems to enjoy playing with poop far more than his toys, too!! Most of the time I keep him in the zip-up-footed pj's, or in overalls. A lot of it with my son is that his pants are always falling down (he is VERY narrow waisted) and that,I'm pretty sure, leads to the big "Diaper Discovery" It's a phase that one day they'll grow out of...hang in there and good luck!! Oh, and if he starts rubbing it on the walls and stuff, you can get pet stain/odor cleaner at WalMart. As far as putting it in his mouth, immediatly clean his mouth as best as possible, and watch for signs of problems. If you don't want to wait for something to start showing, just call his pediatrician and ask s/he. Good Luck!!!
