My 2 year old daughter was recently taking PolyVSol with Iron but I think that they may have been staining her teeth.

I tried these gummy vitamins and she doesn't like them. Does anyone else have recommendations for vitamins that your kids will take?

Thanks!

I have had my kiddos on a supplement since May which replaced their other vitamin. It is in a powdered form, so I put it in their juice or milk. And, it has dramatically improved their allergy symptoms as well as boosted their immune systems. Let me know if you'd like more info.

My son LOVES the "Cars" gummies. I tasted them and they actually taste like gummy bears, not like "gummy iron".

My daughter takes adult liquid vitamins, but just half the recommended dose. I slip it in her morning drink, and she loves it. The one we use is called Peter Gillham's Natural Vitality, Organic Life Vitamins, Organic Raspberry-Cranberry , and we order from iherb.com. Here is the link, http://www.iherb.com/
If you have never ordered from there, you can use this coupon code NIF211, I think you get $5 off or something. I like this liquid vitamin because it is food based, and more bioavailable than some others. My daughter likes the flavor, so we stick with it, although I think any liquid you can hide in juice or whatever would do the trick. Hope that helps, good luck!

We had a nutritionist recommend ChildLife vitamins for our kids, and they are awesome! I actually wish they made adult formulas because they taste so amazing. My older son was 3 when I first attempted to give these to him and after the first day, he'd remind me in the morning to give him his vitamins. He loves them! We use the multi-vitamin, the vitamin C and the Colostrum daily during the winter months (and the Echinacea if it seems like they're coming down with something). I will say, we tried the First Defense and it was awful! Maybe we got a bad bottle, but we won't be trying that one again in case that's how it always tastes.
I always get them from vitacost.com, but I'm sure a place like Whole Foods carries it, as well. (But I'm sure it's cheaper from vitacost!)
Good luck!

I give both my boys (6 and 2 1/2) regular Flinstones vitaimns. They love them. For 2-3 year olds you just break it in half.

I would stick with the vitamin and find something to clean the teeth.

The PolyViSol used to stain my son's teeth as well. If that works for you - keep giving it to her and the next time you are at the dentist's office ask them if they can give you the toothpaste they use to polish your/the kids teeth with. Using just a small bit of that will get her teeth nice and sparkly again. My son's dentist gave that to us when he was 3 - and suggested that we use it - not very often but only when the teeth are stained.
If not, then we use the Flintstones vitamins (not the Gummies) or you can by the multivitamins from Trader Joes (again not the gummy variety). Our pediatrician recommended those too.

Good luck.

My kids take Flinstone vitamins and like them. They do have ones for little kids ages 2-4 I think. Otherwise you can get the regular ones and cut them in half.

I like Shaklee, my kids have been on them for years. They are a little more pricey, but they eat them. Non staining. Not sure if your 2 yr. old is a good chewer... If not now, consider them for the future.

go to whole foods. they have a 100% guarantee on their products. if you buy something and your child doesnt like it return and get a different one. after you find the one she likes then buy online as they will be much cheaper.

also watch your vitamins...flintstones and the other bargain brands are a bargain for a reason. the vitamins arent in the right form for the body to absorb and the majority of them is being excreted in the urine.

My kids love "love bites" by Natures Plus, and "Kids One Multistars" by Rainbow Light. Both are all natural with no food coloring or junk added. I get them from Vitamin Shoppe.

My daughter was such a stinker in taking vitamins. We were on PolyVSol for a long time and it stained her teeth horribly. I tried Gummy Vitamins ... various kinds. I tried hard chewables. Nope. I tried powder vitamin that I would put in water but she doesn't like the taste of juice or anything like it ... so that didn't work. My son son loved it... I could put it in applesauce too. Available at Shaklee. I know she loves chocolate and found chocolate vitamins that she eats up! They are available at KosherVitamins.com... yes, they are kosher but I could care less and they have all the similiar qualities of other vitamins and she LOVES them and no more stained teeth!

I've bought the Sesame Street chewables in non-gummy form and are usually dosed to 1 for under 4yrs and 2 for over 4 yrs so there is no breaking them in half like some supplements. Try your grocery store, Target and Wal Mart. Just remember to look at the dosage on the label since she's young.
