Toddler "Stool" Question!

My 19 month old seems to have pretty loose poops. She only has a poopy diaper about 1-2 times a day, but it is usually very loose and potent! Is this normal? I have heard of "toddler diarrhea", but it is not overly watery or runny. (sorry, I know this is graphic...sorry!) Is this normal with every toddler or should I be asking a pediatrician about this. She is very active and eats well. She is not big on meats but does eat a bunch of fruits and veggies. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you moms!

What can I do next?

I don't really know how normal it is or not but it sounds about right with the food she eats. I have a 3 year old and he goes back and forth. He eats tons of fruit and veggies and also chees and yogert.i started to add rice to everything. From his yogert to his eggs and soup. He seems to like it and his bowl movments have become more standard (if you can call it that). Try the brat diet every few days or so . Bananas, rice, apples and toast. Good luck and god bless.

My son's stools were soft and really squishy like for the first two years of his life. I was worried, he was fine. It is super hard to tell until they potty train as if they sit in it, or move around that can change the consistency of the poop in our eyes.
Don't worry unless for no reason it changes color, there is blood in it or constantly runny.
So much of it depends on their diet too. Do not worry at all.
Try the Gerber meat stix, my kids LOVED those! :)

i'd see a pediatrician if you are concerned... but i have a kid who loves her fruit (and not to much meat)... which can be problematic in this uhm, department. consequently i aleays make sure she eats a banana daily (tends to slow things down)... and i don't give her much, if any apple juice. just milk & water.

i also try to sneak in as much protein as i can... eggs, peanut butter, cheese... that also seems to help a bit.

My dd goes through this but its bad with food allergies. I have to give her acidolphilus when she goes through it with some pedialyte or gatorade. the acidolphilus just crush it up and put into something like yogurt or milk.
my dd was allergic to dairy but and eggs and those were the worse. I hope this helps and gl

My daughter is 21 months and she has loose stools all the time. It's normal. She has harder ones at times but usually they're pretty mushy. I think part of it is because she will go in her diaper and then sit in it so it mushes it down. She is starting to potty train and I have noticed that when she goes poop in her potty it doesn't look nearly has runny as it does in her diaper. And i would rather her have runny poop then be constipated.

is the stool odd in color, is it foamy? I don't think it is normal for it to be continuously loose, but im also not a pediatrician and only know what my kids produce. how much fruits and veggies does she eat? Does she consume fruit juice on top of all this fruit and veggies? How long has it been like this? You can usually call your pediatrician or family doctor and talk to a nurse to see if it warrents a visit.
